Whether it's spring, summer, fall or winter, it seems like you can't escape allergies. You know the feeling all too well - sneezing, runny nose, congestion, skin irritation, difficulty breathing, pressure in your head, recurring headaches, and itchy and watery eyes. These symptoms are not only frustrating but can also be very painful and uncomfortable. Many of our patients have found relief from these very same symptoms with our Endonasal Balloon Treatments.
An allergy can be simply defined as a hypersensitivity reaction. In other words, if you have an allergy your body reacts differently to a certain substance that is otherwise harmless to most other people. When it comes to food allergies, you may suffer from indigestion, diarrhea, and bloating. Do you want to know what foods your body is sensitve to? Take our FoodTest95.
Your immune system is in charge of filtering and removing harmful and foreign substances from your body. Some of the ways your body gets rid of harmful substances is through sneezing, coughing, vomitting, and inflammation. An allergic reaction occurs when your immune system kicks on and fights against certain substances that are typically considered safe and harmless. In other words, an allergic reaction occurs not because of the substance itself but because your body has interepreted the substance as foreign or harmful.
In people who have allergies, the immune system produces a certain antibody called immunogobulin E (IgE). This antibody responds to substances such as pollen, dust, pet dander, foods, and more, which may lead to your body producing an allergic reaction.
The very simple answer to that is... yes! At Schneider Clinic we have multiple patients visit every day to have treatments for their allergies and sinus issues, which include snoring, sleep apnea, and sinusitis.
It has been studied and well documented tht chiropractic adjustments greatly benefit your body's central nervous system. The strength of your body's immune system relies heavily on proper communication between your brain and spinal cord in order to function properly. When your body has vertebral subluxations, misalignments, or dysfunctional movements it can not communicate accurately with your central nervous system. This causes an abnormal signal to be received by your central nervous system. When these signals occur along the same pathways required to input normal environmental messsages, your body's communication can be interrupted, causing the information to possibly be understood incorrectly. When this happens, an allergic reaction may occur.
Dr. Schneider and Schneider Clinic use Endonasal Balloon Technology to help treat chronic sinusitis, allergies, headaches, breathing problems, and snoring. This technology opens up a whole new treatment option to sinusitis patients who don't want to use drugs or surgery.
Endonasal Balloon Therapy has been available at Schneider Clinic for over 40 years. It is becoming increasingly popular due to many drugs and surgeries proving unsuccessful. Dr. Schneider continues to develop this method of treatment, which opens up the sinus passages in a similar fashion as when surgeons stretch clogged arteries with angioplasty.
How It Works:
Dr. Schneider utilizes instrument adjusting to balance the cranial plates and the neck, following a balloon treatment. This makes the procedure more comprehensive in it’s approach.
The doctors, nurses and patients at Schneider Clinic have found this comprehensive treatment to be very effective.

Before coming to Schneider clinic I had a multiple issues with my sinuses and allergies. I am a supervisor at a sewing factory but my real passion is singing. I love to sing but with all the congestion I couldn’t do what I love to do! I went to my family doctor and was prescribed many different medications including multiple kinds of nasal sprays. Not only did this not help my sinus problems, but a lot of the time it made the congestion worse. The congestion and drainage got so bad that I was having a hard time even breathing.
One day during my lessons, my voice teacher suggested that I see a chiropractor for my sinus problems. I thought she had lost it, I had no idea they could help with sinus problems. I always thought they could only work on backs and necks. My mom, who was already seeing Dr. Schneider for her back told him about my problem. He assured her that he could help so I made an appointment with him the very next day. Dr. Schneider told me about his unique Endonasal Balloon Therapy. I was a little hesitant about the treatment at first but now I am so glad that I stayed.
Since starting Endonasal treatments I feel so much better and I can breathe again. I don’t have the drainage that I used to and my throat is not dry from trying to breathe through my mouth all the time. The best part is, I CAN SING AGAIN IN PERFECT PITCH! My voice teacher has noticed a huge difference and according to her the quality and tone in my voice is much improved. What a joy it has been! I know without these treatments I would still be struggling along.
Thank you Dr. Schneider and staff for all your kindness and help. I am so happy about how I feel I might have to write a song about it!~Beverly
The balloon endonasal procedure uses a small, flexible, sinus balloon to help gently stretch and open up blocked sinus passageways, with the intent of improving / restoring normal sinus drainage and function for the patient. When the sinus balloon is inflated, it gently restructures and widens the walls of the sinus passageway while still maintaining the integrity of the sinus lining.
With over 50 years of this procedure being performed at Schneider Clinic this non-surgical procedure offers better long-term results than conventional sinus surgery because it preserves the mucosa, the layer of tissue covering the sinuses.Unlike sinus surgery, it doesn't involve removing bone, packing the sinuses and scarring. Recovery time for patients going through Endonasal treatment is very short as it is an in-office treatment.
Direct healthcare expenditures due to sinusitis cost are over $6 billion every year and well over 73 million restricted activity days are due to sinusitis and its symptoms. With sinusitis affecting around 37 million people in the United States annually, new treatment options can help provide renewed hope to many.Schedule Your Free Consultation
For over 40 years, I’ve suffered from one miserable sinus headache after another right between my eyes. Sinus headaches plagued me during the day and often kept me awake at night. My family doctor repeatedly prescribed antibiotics which might work for a short time, but then another infection would develop and yet another antibiotic would be prescribed. After years of repeating this cycle and experiencing lots of negative side effects, my body developed a resistance to antibiotics, rendering them ineffective...
I had been a patient at Schneider Clinic for a while before I decided to finally do something about my sinus problems. I suffered daily from sinus pain and pressure of which in turn caused dizziness and overall making me feel down right “crummy.” I was at first apprehensive about the sinus treatments in general, however, decided to give them a try. Currently my sinus headaches are few and far between. If I had not dealt with my sinus issues...
I am an employee of Dr. Schneider and can relate first hand to anyone with sinus problems. One day I woke up and was unable to lie down, sit, or stand without feeling very dizzy. The room was constantly spinning which made me unstable and very nauseated. I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach that I was unable to work or function normally. I first went to my Family Doctor who wanted to put me on an antibiotic to treat my vertigo as he thought I had an inner ear...
