When I came to the Schneider Clinic I had severe pain in my lower back and down the back of my right leg. It hurt me so bad that I couldn't stand or walk and I wasn't even able to put a sock on. The pain was so intense at times I felt that it would be better if I didn't have the leg. Fortunately I could sit when I was at work as it was almost impossible to stand for any length of time. I sought help from my medical doctor but was told that l probably had a pinched nerve in my lower back.
The Doctor prescribed some pain killers to help me get by, but I did not want to live on pain killers. I thought I may have to have back surgery, but I had heard that chiropractors could treat lower back pain, so I decided to come to the Schneider Clinic. With the treatments I received from Dr. Schneider, I no longer have pain in my lower back and leg. I can now stand and walk again which means I can continue to work at my job. Had I not got treatment from Dr. Schneider I think I would have had to quit my job as I would not have been able to work in the condition I was before seeing him. I am so thankful that I gave Chiropractic treatment with an Activator Chiropractor a try.
In 1993 my medical doctor diagnosed me with Degenerative Arthritis. I was 77 years old when I began to have severe pain continuously in my back and knees. He did everything he could do but I did not improve. By this time I had to use a wheelchair. I had no relief of my pain. Finally in desperation, he referred me to Elkhart General Hospital's Pain Center. They prescribed narcotics for my pain, which helped a little. My grandson was a patient of Dr. Schneider's, and he brought my daughter a brochure about the Activator that Dr. Schneider uses. The brochure said there was help for Degenerative Arthritis in elderly people. With my condition the way it was, I was told not to go to a Chiropractor, but with this technique I could give it a try. I'm so thankful I did. Within one month my pain subsided. I could start using a walker and within two months I was taken off the narcotics. I am now on a preventative wellness program and walking with a cane. I'm so thankful God lead me to Dr. Schneider and the Schneider Clinic!
I had back pain on and off since I graduated from high school. I went to my family doctor for pain and he told me it was muscular and I needed to see a masseuse. I started massage therapy and after a year, I felt much better. As I continued treatment, I began to notice some of the pain was still there and when I moved in a certain way my back locked up for a few seconds. I ignored this until I began to also develop pain in my hip. This got so bad, I developed a limp. At this point I talked with my aunt about her chiropractor. She told me the hip was something he could fix. I explained my fears about the twisting and popping that chiropractors do and she told me her chiropractor used an activator. She said that I would lie on the table and the activator would push, with controlled force, the bones back in place without pain, twisting, or popping. I decided to give it a try and went in for sortie x-rays. He showed me that it wasn’t just my hip that was off, but everything above it as well. I started an adjustment schedule to have this fixed, but was unable to complete it before I moved to Columbus. In Columbus, I researched to find an activator method chiropractor and I came across Dr. Schneider. He was able to complete the fixing of my spine and was also able to fix my knees and helped me with my allergies. I didn’t know that they could do sinus adjustments. These adjustments helped me get off two of my allergy medications. I also noticed I didn’t get ill over winter as is usual for me. I am amazed at how much my health has improved using the combined talents of my chiropractor and masseuse. Last time I went to my family doctor they said they had to dig my file out of storage because they haven’t seen me in so long! Anyone who has pain or discomfort should come in for an exam. The body has a way of adjusting to minor pain, but the problem remains. If it isn’t fixed, it will only get worse until at some point your body gives up. Don’t wait until you reach a state of unbearable pain; fix it while it is still tolerable.
Being a young mother, I had great difficulty taking care of my children and finishing housework due to the amount of pain I was previously experiencing in my low back, shoulders, and neck. I suffered from severe headaches that made it difficult to be happy, enjoy life, and enjoy my children. I had previously tried deep tissue massages and chiropractic adjustments, but however had only temporary relief. I then heard about Decompression Therapy and decided to attend the Schneider Clinic’s Free Decompression Seminar. The meeting was very informative and from my x-rays it was clearly evident I needed decompression therapy! lifter finishing my treatments on my neck and low back I feel AMAZING! My head feels lighter, I can think clearer, and I don't have any low back pain! I can play with my children on the floor again and finish housework without pain! I would recommend decompression therapy to anyone inquiring because it is simply incredible! The staff at the Schneider Clinic is very friendly and always tried to do what they could to make me comfortable. Don't sit around with pain anymore!! I encourage anyone in pain to schedule a free consultation or attend one of their free monthly seminars! It works!
I was convinced to try decompression therapy when I began to notice that I was unable to turn my neck to the side very far, making it difficult to see safely while backing out of a parking space. I had previously been to a chiropractor for years regarding my neck, which helped quite a bit, however the pain continued to linger. I decided to give decompression therapy a try! After receiving the treatments, I can now turn my neck from side to side without having to turn my whole body. I am also free to do everyday tasks and not have pain in my neck! The staff at the Schneider Clinic is very friendly and helpful! Decompression therapy has really helped me have a better life with less pain. I can enjoy doing activities again!
I am retired, but stay active by doing housework and yard work. Before I came to see Dr. Schneider I was taking pain pills for my low back and legs. These only seemed to cover up the problem, not get rid of it. I was not getting any better and was considering getting surgery on my back.
Since I’ve been coming to Dr. Schneider for treatments I am finally better and can do “normal” things again! Dr. Schneider got to the root of my problem and didn’t try to just cover it up.
I advise anyone who is thinking about getting Chiropractic care to see Dr. Schneider today. Don’t wait. He helped me get back to normal and he can help you too!
I began treatment at Schneider Clinic in October of 1992 for recurring numbness in my left leg and intense shoulder pain.
During treatment I mentioned to Dr. Schneider that I had been experiencing chronic nosebleeds for eight months. The bleeding occurred almost daily with up to five nosebleeds on some days. I had been to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in August only to be told that he found nothing wrong. Since the humidity is quite high in Indiana in the summer I found this diagnosis peculiar.
After the first few treatments from Dr. Schneider the bleeding became less frequent and less severe. Now, I rarely ever experience nosebleeds.
I am very thankful to have mentioned my condition to Dr. Schneider and for the results I have received.
I was told by my Doctor that I may need to start sleeping with a C-Pap machine which prompted me to try endonasal balloon treatments with Dr. Schneider. I had difficulty breathing at night and did not get a “good night’s sleep.” After a series of endonasal balloon treatments I am now breathing much better at night and sleeping better! I do not snore anymore and have more energy throughout my day! And most importantly, I am not sleeping with a C-Pap machine! My advice if you have similar issues is to try the treatment. It is certainly better than being strapped to a machine at night. The treatments are quick, do not hurt, and you see almost immediate results! Thank you Dr. Schneider!
I am an employee of Dr. Schneider and can relate first hand to anyone with sinus problems. One day I woke up and was unable to lie down, sit, or stand without feeling very dizzy. The room was constantly spinning which made me unstable and very nauseated. I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach that I was unable to work or function normally. I first went to my Family Doctor who wanted to put me on an antibiotic to treat my vertigo as he thought I had an inner ear infection. I did not want to take any medication and wanted to avoid this if I could. Dr. Schneider recommended a sinus treatment for my vertigo. At first I was skeptical, however, the minute the balloon entered my sinus cavity, the room began to spin even more so. Therefore we knew that my sinuses were the cause of my vertigo. After a couple of sinus treatments, my vertigo had subsided. I received several sinus treatments to make sure the vertigo was gone and I haven’t had any problems since!
Looking back prior to my having sinus treatments, I realize now that I used to have frequent dull headaches and plugged ears. Since I have been having sinus treatments regularly, I have not had a problem with vertigo, headaches, or plugging of the ears. My advice to you would be to try sinus treatments! They work!
I had been a patient at Schneider Clinic for a while before I decided to finally do something about my sinus problems. I suffered daily from sinus pain and pressure of which in turn caused dizziness and overall making me feel down right “crummy.” I was at first apprehensive about the sinus treatments in general, however, decided to give them a try.
Currently my sinus headaches are few and far between. If I had not dealt with my sinus issues, I probably would have continued or worsened sinus headaches and infections. My advice is “don’t be like me and put it off.” The benefits far out weigh the momentary discomfort I experienced during the treatment. Dr. Schneider and his staff have a patient’s best interest in mind. He cares about the whole person and wants you to live your life as best as possible.
I have had chronic sinus infections intermittently for 55 years. The past eighteen months my ears have been plugged or “closed off,” had a cough, and multiple ear infections one-after-another. Over the past year, I have taken 4-6 different allergy medications and antibiotics all of which are no longer effective. My family doctor has suggested a prescription nasal spray for six months and referred me to an ENT only to be sent to a hearing aid specialist. Essentially, I was sent to specialist after specialist and nobody knew how to help me.
I have been seeing Dr. Schneider for many years and told him about my problem. He recommended that I have a series of endonasal treatments. Since I have had these treatments, I am completely off all medications, don’t need to carry a box of Kleenex with me, and my ears are open almost all of the time! Now that my sinus cavities remain open, I don’t need to sit up to sleep at night and I snore less! Working as a store clerk, it’s wonderful being able to clearly hear what customers are saying, as well as staff members. I am also able to get a better nights rest due to no coughing spells. I don’t need to call in sick at work anymore. Essentially, now I am able to go out and enjoy life and be around people again. I am so grateful for that.
My name is Max and I am 7 years old. This is my friend Ginger and she is 1 year old. My Mom thought I just had a stuffy nose from a cold or allergies, but over the counter decongestants that she tried to give me at night to sleep did not help my breathing. My Mom got kind of scared because I would stop breathing and then choke myself until I woke myself up to breathe. She realized I only had trouble breathing at night when I would lay down even when I had my mouth open. I saw my Pediatrician that gave me different allergy medications and sprays to try. He wanted me to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. My Mom was seeing Dr. Schneider for her back. She told Dr. Schneider about me and he suggested she bring me in for a spinal check.
I am so glad that she did! I can now sleep through the night and I do not have breathing issues while laying down. My mom thinks that I would have had a lot of other health problems due to my sleep apnea if I had not come in to see Dr. Schneider when I did.
Ginger and I are much happier now :)
I am a high school student and I injured my low back playing football. I have received quality, fast acting pain relief without the use of medication, and unlike medication, Dr. Schneider’s corrections on my low back have given me long term results. I would definitely support anyone’s decision to receive chiropractic care from Dr. Schneider. I have already recommended him to many of my friends and family and my parents are both patients now!
My injury had been nagging for a long time and I made the mistake of waiting for too long. I received immediate results from Dr. Schneider and I keep getting better!
I am janitor and housekeeper. For the past four years I have experienced pain in my lower back and tailbone. I would often have times where I was paralyzed from the neck down. I tried taking pain medication, seeing Neurologist, family doctor, Internist and even was given nerve medicine. I also kept a cane with me. Some of the doctors said I was hyperventilating and had periodic paralysis of my nerves. They also said to ease stress and moderate my activities. My condition was affecting my lifestyle; it was restricting a lot. I was afraid to go anywhere for long periods of time.
I was very apprehensive and scared to try chiropractic. My back was sore and I didn't want anyone to touch it. I was tired of constantly being sore. I decided to see Dr. Schneider after a friend told me how good he was.
I can work now without my lower back pain. My confidence in myself is much better. My friends and relatives can even notice a change. I’m not getting out of a chair hunched over in pain and my frown is now gone! No more paralysis spells either. If I had not gone to Dr. Schneider, I probably would have totally pinched off a nerve and would have been in a wheel chair. My biggest fear... Not being able to run or play with my three daughters. Thanks to Dr. Schneider, I am no longer afraid!
I am a housewife and like to work in my yard and bowl. I have had back, shoulder and foot problems for years. I could not walk well and back hurt when I tried to do anything.
I have gone to Chiropractors most of my adult life, with two of them using the Activator method of treatment, but it did not help my pain for very long. The Doctors said I had deterioration of my discs, hips and my "spine would not stay in place!".
I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Schneider. At last I decided to see what he had to say. Dr. Schneider has a different approach to his treatments. I now have hopes of not having surgery which many times does not end with good results. My Orthopedic doctor said I should never go to a Chiropractor that does not use the activator and to never let anyone twist my spine. I feel if I had not come to see Dr. Schneider, I would have had a very painful life and maybe surgery as a last resort.
Dr. Schneider's office also is very knowledgeable in filing my insurance, Medicare. Other offices I have been to did not do that for me.
I am returning to Florida soon, but I am considering selling and coming back to Elkhart full time to be near the Schneider Clinic!
I originally came to Schneider Clinic because I was having neck and back pain. I was talking to Dr. Barnes one day about how I wanted to lose my pregnancy weight. I have been over 200 pounds since I was 12 years old. “I have tried many diets over the past but with little success.” The other diets didn’t specifically help me lose fat like Schneider Clinic’s weight loss program.
The diet not only had great results but the results were fast! I lost 35 pounds in 40 days. We did the bio impedance testing which showed that over 30 pounds of the weight I lost, was fat! My friends all commented on how they could tell I was losing weight, especially in the abdomen area. Before I was at high risk for heart disease, diabetes, and other common preventable disease but this diet helped me get back on track. Now it’s easy to exercise because I have more energy and less pain. I feel more excited going out to social events. Shopping is more fun now because I have more options and all the clothes fit me like they are suppose too! Now that I have more energy I can keep up better with my toddler Nathan and my preschooler Amy. I would recommend this diet to anyone that is serious about wanting to change their life. It works great for anyone that either wants to lose a bunch of fat or wants to lower their risk of disease.
I was unfamiliar with the effect the essential oils have on a body’s condition so I was uncertain as to any relief the therapy may produce. However, from the first AromaTouch therapy I was totally amazed at the positive result: pain gone, cramps gone and I was actually sleepy! My wife could tell a tremendous difference and thanked the therapist for “giving her husband back.” I’ve never experienced such a dramatic turnaround in my condition with chronic pain. As each grouping of oils are applied it’s like a wave of calm serenity comes rushing in, whole the pain and tension slowly drain away. After each AromaTouch treatment I have a feeling of pain-free, calm serenity with a happy and positive perspective on life.
The therapist is very professional and conveys considerable knowledge and experience in both the use of the various oils and the technique of their application during the session.
I wholeheartedly recommend AromaTouch therapy to anyone even though they may not understand how the therapy works.
When I was seven years old I had many high fevers from a mastoid infection and I noticed I could not hear well. My parents thought I was being rude when I failed to answer when at 14 years old, my hearing was checked and it was diagnosed as "nerve deafness". I could hear voices but could not distinguish words. My parents could not afford a hearing aid at that time.
Twelve years ago I could go no longer without aid so we purchased them for both ears. About three weeks ago a friend recommended I go to see Dr. Dan Schneider for a shoulder problem that was bothering me. He examined and treated me that day and on the drive home my left ear began to itch. The hearing aid whistled and did not feel right so I pulled over to the side of the road and removed it. The car radio seemed louder, yet I had not touched it. Then it dawned on me that I could HEAR out of my left ear! I sat there and simply cried for at least five minutes! Next, I called my mom and friends and they told me, “don’t get your hopes up”.
The next day I went back to Dr. Schneider and he treated me for the shoulder problem again. On the drive home the right ear began to itch and I just tingled inside because this time I knew what was happening. Once again, I pulled over and removed the aid and lo and behold I could also hear from the right ear!
I asked him why this happened since he was not treating me for deafness. His answer made sense: spinal cord pressure had built up in the neck and skull. The same nerves from my neck that were affecting my shoulder could have been part of a referred pain pattern, and by taking this pressure off the nerves from the misaligned vertebra allowing the ears to function better.
I needed to shout my joy and to say "thanks" to Dr. Schneider for all he has done for my ears, my well being and my health!
Fifteen years ago, I suffered a herniated disc in my lower back. I spent three months off work lying flat on my back. I was able to tolerate the pain so the surgeon did not want to operate. I did improve some on my own over a long period of time. I continued going to the doctor with the same complaints: pain that shot down my leg and severe muscle spasms that left me unable to work. The doctor eventually told me not to come back until I couldn't move or walk.
Since then, l have babied my back and have moved around gingerly so as to avoid further injury. It has affected my entire life including the work I can and cannot do, my play, and my exercise. I work in retail and stand all day. When I got home after work, I was in such pain I lived on high doses of ibuprofen. The pain was terrible and both hips hurt so badly that I couldn't sleep on either side. The muscle spasms multiplied, moving into my buttocks as well. I only found relief from the pain by lying flat on my back, and I woke up each morning tired and still from sleeping in the same position all night long. Many nights I couldn't sleep at all.
A friend of mine had been successfully treated for sciatica by Dr. Schneider and recommended that I see him. She felt certain he could help me. With reluctance, I kept the appointment she made for me. On my first visit, he found me to be so out of alignment that one leg was almost 2 inches shorter than the other; it was the same in my arms. He treated me with the Activator only - no cracking. I would describe the method as a pressure treatment, for lack of more technical terms.
My arms and legs are now even in length and I am much better able to rest at night. I am still a work in progress, but I feel better with each treatment. I feel certain that without the treatments I wouldn't have been able to continue working. My whole quality of life is much improved - amazingly so, in fact. I have Dr. Schneider to thank for that.
In July 2000 I had an ATV accident that left me with a fractured left shoulder and hip. I experienced intense pain for weeks afterward, and my doctor said my chances of needing surgery were high. Even after I was told that I was well, the left side of my collar bone stuck out a few inches, my left shoulder blade had shifted downward and my torso was visibly pointed 20° to the right. I couldn't sleep without pain and pressure.
I lived with the pain for four years until one day I felt a new, intense shooting pain in my lower back while walking down a flight of stairs. I went to a chiropractor who diagnosed a badly pinched nerve. After three months of treatment, I was still experiencing pain and decided to switch chiropractors. I found Dr. Schneider through an internet search. I learned more about the Activator method mentioned on his website, and decided anything was worth a shot.
After my first few appointments, my lower back pain was completely gone! I can say from experience that the Activator method works wonders. I sometimes think he is psychic; he can find the exact spot of my pain before I tell him a thing. And the Activator's precise, quick movements cause no pain; whereas hand adjusting sometimes hurt worse than the back pain itself.
I have been taking treatments at Dr. Schneider's office for almost two years now, and I feel so blessed to have found him. Not only has my whole back improved immensely, but my shoulder and collar bone are continuing to move back into place. After seeing the improvement in my back in such a short period of time, I am positive that I will no longer need surgery and I will soon feel better than I did before my accident.
If you are suffering back pain, schedule an appointment with Dr. Schneider. I assure you, the pain will pick up and move out of your life!
Dear Dr. Schneider,
I wanted to take a moment to recognize the tremendous improvement I've experienced in just a few months.
Over the past ten years I have experienced different levels of relief from back pain. Some has come from traditional medicine, some from traditional Chiropractic medicine and even some from traditional Chinese medicine. Most recently I have discovered relief from back pain through traditional chiropractic medicine, but it never seemed to "hold." I usually left the office feeling better for a day or two, but the pain always returned and I found myself back on the table. Even with frequent visits, I occasionally endured intense spasms that took a week or more to recover from.
However, since you began treatments with the Activator I have seen steady improvement with little to no reverse. I stand straighter, have much greater mobility, and have even begun to lift heavy weights again. Bottom line - the Activator treatments are the first to truly deliver on all the promises of Chiropractic medicine.
In 1982, Mary Ellen Alexander made her first visit to a chiropractor. The adjustments he did that day started her on a path to increased pain and suffering. She found herself hardly able to walk and with constant hip and neck pain.
In 1986, Mary Ellen was declared "disabled" and unable to continue her work as a weaver in a mill. The constant discomfort she experienced also kept her from ever getting a good night's sleep.
Living in a rural community in Georgia, the 20-mile trip to town left her exhausted for days. And once in town, she was unable to walk for any extended period of time.
Over the years, Mary Ellen tried all kinds of therapies, saw at least 10 different chiropractors, was hospitalized and given all kinds of pain pills, but none of these things gave her the relief she sought. In Ohio, her daughter Janice had been seeing Dr. Schneider for a while and encouraged her Mom to give him a try. Being a little reluctant to try yet another chiropractor, she watched as Dr. Schneider worked on Janice and how perfect her posture was when he was done.
After just one treatment, Mary Ellen was amazed - it was the first time since 1983 that she was pain-free in her sacral are. Other doctors had used the Activator instrument on her, but she had never experience such astounding results before. After three treatments, her hips are still pain-free and she has felt great improvement in her neck. She has felt more energy and a mental clarity that wasn't there prior to her treatments - she even slept well through the night. The long drive from Georgia to Ohio used to be a cause for dread, but she's feeling up to the trip home this time.
Mary Ellen has already given Dr. Schneider's phone number to a family she met in the area. She told them she would be afraid of just "any" chiropractor, but that Dr. Schneider was the most effective she had ever seen. She had invested a lot of time and money into lots of other chiropractors over the years and knows a good one by the results she has experienced.
I am a retired army veteran of 42 years and a Prisoner of War from the Korean War. In prison I got kicked, beaten, and was given no shoes or clothes in the cold winters. I was hit with the butt of the rifle in my tailbone many times that since then I could not sit with out pain. My feet froze to where my toenails were bleeding through the tips of the nails all the time.
When I came to Dr. Schneider I was a physical wreck. I could not sleep. I could not stretch out in bed straight because of the horrible intense cramps, which I had for 7 years These cramps were constant and never went away. Whenever I got up at night I would wobble from wall to wall like I was drunk. I could not drive my car over a mile with the severe pain and holding my back the whole time. I would only go the shortest distance anywhere to get food or whatever I needed. When I would get to the grocery store I would hang on to the grocery cart for dear life and rest as often as I could. Believe me it was an unreal ordeal. During the last 7 years I did no yard work, as that was totally out of the question.
Ten years ago the medical doctor at the veterans hospital suggested an operation for my pain. Since I didn't know what I should do for my pain, I agreed to it. That was a mistake because after the operation I was paralyzed on my left side with no strength, and I could not lie on my side even to sleep. The doctor said something went wrong in the operation and that with time maybe things would get better. Things did not get better. I just wanted to die.
I just kept going down hill after that operation. I would keep asking the veteran hospital doctor is there anything else I can do? He never suggested a chiropractor, acupuncture, or any other alternative except the drugs and surgery. I finally decided I was going to find a chiropractor on my own since I was desperate for some other answers.
I found Dr. Schneider through the yellow pages and fortunately came to the right place because after even the first few treatments I started getting better and sleeping a whole lot better.
I told Dr. Schneider that I bet I have spent a million dollars with the veteran's hospital trying to get help over the last 42 years. When I came to him I was taking over 50 pills a day for everything your could imagine.
Now with a little over a months worth of treatments let me tell you how it's going. It is unreal. I am down to about three pills a day. I am mowing my lawn. I am taking my grandkids for walks, which I had missed terribly. I can ride in a car now as long as I want with not cramps or pain. I used to sit in the house and never get to visit my neighbors. My nerves were a mess. I was beside my self all the time. Just last week I planted 160 hedges around my house.
I talked to my medical doctor at the veterans hospital and told him how great I was doing with my chiropractic treatments from Dr. Schneider and he said I was not suppose to go over his head of authority without his permission for any other kind of treatment. When I asked him about a chiropractor before he never responded that he would try to find one for me. He said that was not an option. The reason he never thought about a chiropractor was that they were never on his referral list.
Since I have seen Dr. Schneider and taken my Activator treatments, my neighbors can't believe what has happened to me. I say, "Yea it is unreal". My VFW buddies see me mow the yard now, climb stairs and not use the escalator anymore. I don't even have to use handicap parking now.
When Dr. Schneider asked me what I thought would have happened to me if I had not gotten these Activator chiropractic treatments? I said I thought I would either be in a wheel chair or a nursing home for the rest of my life. I know the VA doctor was suggesting another surgery even after when the last one failed. I was so desperate I almost agreed to it but that forced me to look in the yellow pages like I did. I was just grasping at straws. The VA doctor said if this surgery failed I would end up in the nursing home. When he said that, I said to myself, I would have killed myself because I was not going to exist that way.
I am here to tell you that it was an act of God that I found Dr. Schneider. My whole life has changed. That Activator instrument he uses is so comfortable and pain free. I am amazed how well I feel with it. I am truly thankful for the help and new life I have.
Back Pain and Sinus Problems
I played a lot of sports in high school and had some back injuries. Now at The Ohio State University I have a job that requires a lot of sitting in the car, stooping, bending and getting in awkward positions. I developed severe back pain to the point I could not sit in my car even ten minutes without twisting in pain. My friend Earl Rodgers told me about Dr. Schneider and the great help he received for a serious accident he had been in going down a hill on an ATV while going 40 miles an hour and hitting a tree.
I got great help from my decompression therapy on my low back. I can now ride in my car and go to Chicago and Cleveland without pain. I was very pleased with the friendly help I received without drugs or surgery.
For over 40 years, I’ve suffered from one miserable sinus headache after another right between my eyes. Sinus headaches plagued me during the day and often kept me awake at night. My family doctor repeatedly prescribed antibiotics which might work for a short time, but then another infection would develop and yet another antibiotic would be prescribed. After years of repeating this cycle and experiencing lots of negative side effects, my body developed a resistance to antibiotics, rendering them ineffective.
Constant use of over-the-counter medicines like Sudafed and Tylenol were also not giving me much relief. My family doctor referred her to an Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) specialist who looked down my nose and throat, and said if I kept having these problems they'd need to do X-rays and possible surgery.
While caring for µ¥ husband who recently had a stroke, I was exhausted and had yet another sinus infection. I went to her family doctor who told me that I needed something that would work quickly. The doctor gave me a new shot which did clear up the infection. It alleviated the pain, but the side effects were so severe that I almost ended up in the hospital. I asked the doctor if there was anything else I could do or any other doctor to see. He said "No, keep up with your medications."
My daughter had been receiving treatments from Dr. Schneider and had repeatedly encouraged me to see him as well. I had never heard that a chiropractor could do anything to help with sinus headache problems until I met Dr. Schneider. I immediately liked his down-to-earth, all business style.
Since he began treating my sinuses, I has not had a single infection. His use of the adjusting instrument has yielded amazing results. I have not had a headache in 6 months. I believe Dr. Schneider is a God-send.
What would I tell someone else experiencing similar challenges? Go to Dr. Schneider! He's the only doctor I know who has ever said or done anything that truly helps.
I am a 52 year old male who was considered totally disabled on March 3, 2003 when I had the good fortune to be referred to Dr. Dan Schneider.
I slipped and fell on snow covered black ice on January 9, 1997. After more than six years of chronic neck pain, very limited range of motion, pain and numbness in my right hand, two different neck fusion surgeries (C-3/4 & C-4/5) (C-5/6) and a whiplash accident on July 30, 2002, I was told by every Doctor I saw, that I must learn to live with it. Time after time I was told there was nothing further that could be done. The doctors telling me this were considered to be very good and dedicated doctors.
I was at the brink of being forced to retire on March 3, 2003 when Dr. Clark, M.D:, Board Certified Sleep Specialist referred me to Dr. Schneider. The pain was so bad. I had not slept more than three hours per night since the whiplash accident on July 30, 2002. I would grind my teeth so hard in my sleep that I broke off two teeth and had to wear a tooth guard to keep from grinding my teeth down.
I had no quality of life. I was unable to work and the simplest chores were unbelievably painful and difficult. I couldn't even look down without passing out because the arteries threaded through my Cervical Spine became. pinched off when looked down, cutting off the oxygen to my brain.
I simply existed day to day.
Spinal Manipulation was not considered an option due to the neck fusion surgeries. The standard manipulation or massage were too dangerous around my neck surgery area and could have complicated my condition.
Dr. Clark told me about Dr. Schneider and the Activator method of instrument adjusting that he used on the spine. He went on to say that Dr. Schneider had helped some of his patients, including himself with very impressive results.
On March 3, 2003 Dr. Schneider examined my neck, and then explained the Activator method. He told me that when he tested my neck, my left leg got extremely short at my exact area of neck pain. He ordered X-rays and asked me to return the following day.
On March 4, 2003 he told me that there was nothing he could do in the area of my neck surgery but he said there are problems in my cervical spine above the surgery, but he said there are problems in the rest of my spine that he can improve with the Activator Method.
The Activator adjustments allowed Dr. Dan to make a precision adjustment without disturbing anything else. That is why he could work right next to my surgery area without impacting or harming it.
The treatments are gentle to the point you think this can not possibly make any difference. Four hours after my first treatment, I caught myself looking down for something I dropped on the floor and realized I wasn’t getting dizzy. I had gained almost full range of motion without added pain!
Dr. Dan gave me back my life and I was able to return to work.
I would recommend this wonderful type of care to anyone who has neck pain or problems like mine.
I am a janitor and housekeeper. I was suffering from periodic paralysis and headaches and spent days in bed.
My symptoms started in 1988, and I tried to cure them by taking pain relievers and resting an awful lot. I had seen five other doctors, including several practitioners, a psychiatrist, and a neurologist, who told me it was mental stress. It was keeping me from my job, my family, and my friends. I was afraid to go anywhere.
A friend who is a patient and knew I needed help suggested I see Dr. Schneider. He took X-rays and showed me the degeneration of my spine. My vertebrae were causing nerves to be pinched, so he started adjusting me and administering trigger point therapy.
I was hesitant and afraid to come. Previous doctors had pushed, pulled, and cracked my back and neck. It would relieve the pain but it wasn't curing my spine.
Since the adjustments with Dr. Dan, the paralysis doesn't last as long and is not as frequent and my spine. My hips even stay in place now. Everyone has noticed the difference because I feel better and am more confident in doing things and going places. If I hadn’t been treated by Dr. Schneider, I believe I would have been totally paralyzed and bed ridden.
I had been suffering from headaches for years before I came to see Dr. Schneider. I had seen so many different doctors for my headaches that after receiving only medication, narcotics, I quit going.
I could do very little. After a half hour I was in back in bed with pain. I saw a different Chiropractor off and on for years, and a University Of Michigan Specialist. I had MRI's, bone scans, blood tests, allergy tests and even saw a Dentist.
Before I saw Dr. Schneider I was a little afraid of Chiropractors. My experience was that I would be in bed for three days after a visit. I cried going home, but after I could no longer get out of bed I decided again I needed to do something.
I finally came in to see Dr. Schneider. I am now doing things that I haven't done for years. Some of this is because my doctor finally found out that I have Fibromyalgia.
I used to never be able to talk to friends because of my pain, but now I talk and I love to laugh with my friends. I am so happy I came in to see Dr. Schneider and my headaches are so much better.
When I came Dr. Schneider’s office it seemed so different from any other doctors office that I had been to. The friendliness and caring really caught my attention.
When I first came to the office, I had migraines, PMS headaches and lower back pain all the time especially when I slept. My ribs had hurt me for a couple of years that it made it hard to breath. My heels hurt to walk for six or seven months. I also had stomach and bowel problems (colitis) for 20 years. I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown and didn't know what to do. A friend suggested that I try Dr. Schneider but I was scared.
Once I began Activator treatments, the things began to change and I knew I wasn't going to get hurt. My medical doctor gave me pain pills and antibiotics and said "It must be neuritis of the chest walls." My first chiropractor pushed and pulled on my back and arms which caused my right arm to get very painful. My mother went to the same doctor and she developed the same problem with her arms.
After taking Activator treatments with Dr. Schneider I can walk pain free and move my arms and shoulders without pain. It is the best I have felt in years. I am glad he did not jerk me around to fix me. My headaches have totally disappeared, except when I have PMS they want to come back. Usually I will get a couple of treatments and they are gone again.
My overall health has improved in general. I seem to handle life's joys and trauma much better and in general feel great. The people at work notice how much better I work and feel and act towards them. I usually try to get a treatment once a month to keep feeling better because I know when the old pains act up it is time for an Activator treatment.
I fell in love with the Activator Method of chiropractic therapy several years ago, in California. Having had a rather uncomfortable experience with "conventional" chiropractic methods, I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover the Activator.
Upon moving to the midwest 17 months ago, I was unable, initially, to locate anyone who practiced this method. I had been in considerable pain for some time. I have Fibromyalgia, among other things. The pain was just something I had learned to live with, with varying degrees of success day-to-day.
I discovered Dr. Dan Schneider while looking for practitioners on the internet one day and, after verifying that my insurance covered the care, made an appointment. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
During the initial assessment, Dr. Schneider discovered that there wasn't a whole lot about my neck and spine that was right. He requested that I have X-rays done of my neck to confirm some suspicions he had. After having the X-rays done, his suspicions of degenerative arthritis were confirmed. He was also able to show me that the top vertebra in my neck was possibly broken in 1985 during a fall from a horse and a rather nasty encounter with a rock when I hit the ground.
In addition, both of my shoulders were out of whack, causing a couple of vertebrae to impair my breathing as well as a host of other pains. My pelvic and leg joints were out of line and not working properly, resulting in a lot of pain from the sciatica. My lower back, including my tailbone was constantly out of line and causing pain. I also had "goose eggs" on both shoulders that I had always assumed stemmed from stress.
Over the past 35 years, various methods have been tried to alleviate my shoulder pain and reduce the size of those knots. Nothing worked. I tried massage, muscle relaxants and ultrasound without any positive results. I didn't even occur to me to mention them to Dr. Schneider. However, within two weeks of beginning therapy, those knots are gone. I cannot believe it! The work he's done on my neck and shoulders has been truly amazing!
To make a long story short, I've been in therapy for only three weeks, twice a week, and I can honestly say I feel better now than I have felt in many years. We still have a ways to go, but I can wholeheartedly recommend this method to everyone. I cannot believe the difference that this treatment has made. I wish I had discovered him years ago. I don't know what I would do without him!
I have been a hair professional and former platform artist most of my adult life. I have suffered from chronic back pain and acute sciatica to the point that I felt that my active lifestyle, as well as my career, were in danger. Daily, I experienced severe low back and hip pain. I will never forget the numbness and unbearable pain running down my leg. I am a regular visitor and believer in natural medicine.
The response from the statement in The Truth has been overwhelming to say the least. Little did I know so many people out there were suffering from some of the same painful chronic back and leg pain that had almost robbed me of my health! After completing Decompression Therapy with Schneider Clinic, I now can golf, snowmobile, chop wood, and even enjoy the martial arts again. I also no longer struggle to stand at work and can now walk without pain! The pain and numbness down my leg is gone and the constant threat of having to give up my passion, my work, and my active lifestyle no longer haunts me.
A final update on my ongoing success with decompression therapy. I thought I would share a little about some of the activities that I have recently been doing. In August I went to an annual golf outing and was able to play 108 holes of golf in three and a half days, completely pain free without even taking any Aspirin! Recently I closed my swimming pool myself and had a great time going to the Elkhart County Fair, the Blueberry Festival, and the Venetian Festival. I was able to stand, walk, and enjoy the things that I used to take for granted. This may not seem like much to most people, but if you suffered as I did for so many years, it has been fantastic!
Currently I am doing maintenance care on my low back and have recently started decompression therapy on my neck. I am looking forward to a successful outcome and pain free lifestyle! I would like to take time to thank the staff for their care and professionalism that they have shown me.
April is a hairdresser and has to be on her feet 10-12 hours a day. April’s knees were always achy but when she had to be on her feet, the pain would increase. April’s knees have been hurting her for six years. April went to two orthopedic surgeons (one in Goshen and the other one in Elkhart) about her knees and they said the kneecap had slipped sideways off of the knee and that she would have to wear knee braces and just live with it. She was told there was not much that could be done about it.
For the past six years April felt she had to live with the pain until she talked with a friend of hers who goes to Schneider Clinic. This friend recommended that April try going to Schneider Clinic for help. April was afraid to go to a Chiropractor because she knew a lady who was hurt by one who had adjusted her back by hand, and adjusted her too hard. With all this in mind, she was very concerned about coming but the pain was getting so bad that she felt she had to do something.
Now that April has completed her treatments for her knees using the Chiropractic Activator Instrument, which is a gentle non-cracking method, she no longer has to wear knee braces and she is able to work on her feet 10-12 hours a day without pain. Her friends have noticed that she is happy now and not grumpy from the pain she had.
April can now dance, exercise and enjoy life again; she is the best she has been in six years!
When I came to Schneider Clinic I couldn’t walk without a cane and my legs would give out on me. I was taking pain pills and had to quit my job in light assembly. Shopping or housework became impossible and at times I would crawl to the bathroom. I was afraid to leave the house because I might fall and couldn’t drive. My husband and son were pushing me to go a medical doctor and almost called an ambulance to come get me. I was a complete mess!
In the late 80’s I had whiplash and a chiropractor helped me so I wanted to try a chiropractor again. My right hip and lower back needed to be adjusted and are degenerating due to osteoporosis. Dr. Schneider saw me five times a week at first and I was able to go less often as time went on. Now I come once a week and take nutrition supplements prescribed by Dr. Schneider.
I feel like a new person now. Dr. Schneider even helped my asthma and right foot that I had twisted. I can walk now and will be able to start working again. If I had not come to Schneider Clinic I would be living in pain, never able to walk again without a cane and later in life probably a walker. My insurance company would not pay my claims so the staff set-up a payment plan for me.
Thank you for giving my health back to me.
Fifteen years ago Dr. Schneider offered my brother, Mahlon Hartzler a treatment and evaluation. That day's occurrences may well have saved his life. His bladder was host to seven malignant tumors. He had no idea his troublesome symptoms were a sign of danger. I had finally coaxed my sister-in-law to see Dr Schneider, the treatments gave her a new outlook on life as well as saved her husband.
Now you have blessed yet another sister-in-law, Catherine Hartzler and time changes many things. I often think of the time I first met your son, a toddler, a red-haired sweetie who had just started talking, and one of the words he could say clearly was "chiropractor." That was what the dear toddler grew to become.
Now I want to encourage my hard headed brother John Hartzler (Catherine's husband) to put himself in your care. So much good has been blessed upon our family thanks to the two Dr Schneiders. Only the distance and my lack of transportation keep me from coming to your clinic. I wish you well always. And to your patients I wish them to be as blessed by you as I was.
~M. Esther G.
I work in a group home for children, ages nine to sixteen. I do direct care work that involves lifting up to 60 lbs. from beds to the floor. I had severe pain in my shoulders, neck, and upper back that would last anywhere from two hours to off and on for twelve hours. I have been struggling with this for over a year, with the last 3 months being the most severe.
I have seen an orthopedic surgeon, gone to extensive physical therapy and been given “home exercises” to do. All of these things seemed to simply cover up the pain but never made me feel as good as I do now. I spent a lot of time just sitting on my couch or trying to sleep, which usually was not successful. I often could not pick up my own children, both under 4 years old. I was very upset about the pain and was convinced that nothing could be done for me.
I was not convinced that everything I’d done had been enough. I was in so much pain one day and after talking to a friend who is one of Dr. Schneider’s patients, I thought it sure couldn’t hurt. The pain was starting to take over my well being.
Even though I’m still in the process of getting treated, I would consider mine a success story because I’m well on my way to recovery. Any pain I experience is much less severe, and I am able to sleep without tossing and turning all night. I can sit without being in pain, which is important since I’m now in college. I am more in control because I don’t have to discontinue what I’m doing to try and relieve my pain. My whole outlook on life is much more positive! My husband notices that my shoulders, neck, and back feel better and that my moods are more positive, I’m happier!
I honestly feel that if I would’ve allowed the pain to continue I would have become depressed. Thank you so much for listening to my problems and really caring about my health. We are lucky to have you in Elkhart County.
I was having unbearable pain in my back which occasionally made me sick and immobile. I had sciatica which caused numbness down the right side of my leg and back spasms that kept me from doing daily activities. I decided it was time to have a consultation with Dr. Schneider.
Since I have been going on a regular basis for spinal adjustments and spinal decompression, the spasms and numbness in my right leg are gone. I can be myself and now am able to have a good time instead of worrying about what I can and cannot do. I will say that I am not a patient person and was thinking about giving up, however, because of the kind and considerate staff and cheerful doctor, I decided to keep up with the treatments and I am glad I did. I avoided having to have cortisone injections, and am able to shop, do arts and crafts, and volunteer with confidence. I feel like I can be me again.
I came to Schneider Clinic due to low back pain that affected my work as a machine operator. Dr. Schneider’s treatments have prevented me from taking drugs and not working or enjoying life due to pain.
I am now able to walk, work, and enjoy social activities without pain. I would tell anyone to “just do it” as you have nothing to lose, but rather, your health to gain!
I am a busy mom that for over a year had shortness of breath, pain in the left upper back, left arm and lower back. My lifestyle and work were being affected; I had to quit teaching aerobics due to pain. I went to see many different types of physicians, including an Allergist, Gastrologist, 2 different Primary care, an OB/GYN, an internist and 2 other Chiropractors. They all could find nothing wrong with me! I had CAT scans, x-rays, ultrasounds, 4 different blood tests, and upper GI surgery. My thoughts were hopeless and helpless. I felt I had tried everything with no answers or relief. I had finally resorted to pain killers to cover the pain.
I had asked my friend Becky who was a staff member at the Schneider Clinic what kind of over the counter pain relief Dr. Schneider recommended to his patients. She told me that he would recommend a natural vitamin to help reduce any pain and or swelling. She sold me a bottle of Inflavonoid Intensive Care. After taking this product I felt I could function again. I then decided to come in to have a consultation with Dr. Schneider. He made some recommendations to me on what treatment would be best for my condition. I decided to try treatment at the Schneider Clinic.
I now feel so much better, not perfect yet, but more than well on my way to recovery. I really thought my life was over and no one could help me. I am so thankful for Schneider Clinic and Dr. Schneider. My family and friends can notice a difference in me. I am my old self again and able to see the day pain free and looking forward to the future. If Becky had not recommended I come in to see Dr. Schneider, I really would have given up on life. I felt so much pain and was afraid of the underlying cause of my pain. I couldn't deal with or take care of my family, just bending over hurt.
I have to be honest; I had been to 8 doctors and thought no one could help me. I only agreed to try Dr. Schneider because of the Inflavonoids that Becky sold me worked so well. I know I could not have gotten so far without the wonderful support I have felt from Dr. Schneider and his staff. He is the most patient Doctor I have ever dealt with. I and my family owe you so much; you have given us back our lives. I am no longer in pain daily and I am able to be the wife and mom I need to be. The best part is I am not afraid of tomorrow because I know I have a great Doctor and feel I am not alone.
Dr. Schneider's office staff is by far the BEST, I always feel welcome and able to ask ANYTHING. I should know, I have been to most offices in Elkhart County!
Thank you Dr. Schneider. God Bless you and I will tell everyone I know about you.
Low back pain was stopping me from the things I loved. In the summer of 2005 I was unable to do two of my favorite hobbies, golf and tennis, due to low back pain. I went to my family doctor and was evaluated for my lower back pain. My doctor said my problem needed further exploration. I still continued to suffer with pain and was unable to golf or play tennis. My brother is an orthopedic surgeon, so I was somewhat skeptical about trying Chiropractic. I did not want to consider surgery, so I decided to try the conservative approach. I am so happy that I did!
I taught school for 36 years and now I sell real-estate. I feel much better doing my job and I can now play sports again! I feel that if I had not come to see Dr. Mark Schneider, I would probably have had to have lower back surgery. I am very happy to be able to use my athletic skills again!
Prior to receiving treatment at Schneider Clinic, I was unable to go shopping, out to dinner, or do any housework. I frequently had to use a cane when I walked due to severe pain and weakness in my low back, hips, and legs.
After a series of spinal adjustments and spinal decompression, I am now able to walk without a cane, can get up from a sitting position, and stand/walk for longer periods without pain. If I had not received any care, I believe that I would have continued to be less active until I may not have been able to walk at all. I would recommend the Schneider Clinic to any one before surgery or cortisone injections. The staff at Schneider Clinic and Dr. Schneider has been very patient, kind, and professional. Don’t wait! Get help if you need it!
About 4 years ago, my family doctor, a doctor of osteopathy, began treating me for severe back pain and numbness in my right leg that caused my foot to drag and sometimes I'd fall. I was a student so I carried a heavy backpack and did a lot of walking across campus, which just aggravated my symptoms. She ran some test, took a long history and then announced to me that she thought I may have the beginnings of Multiple Sclerosis. My shock was great but my fear was worse.
I saw a neurologist who performed some tests and then sent me to Indiana University School of Medicine Hospital for further evaluation. Tests there were inconclusive (technically my diagnosis was "poly-neuropathy") so I continued treatment with my D.O., only my symptoms became worse. I was losing my balance, the numbness in my leg was so bad that I was finally fitted for a leg brace so that I could walk and walk without falling. The neuropathy was spreading to my left leg and both my arms and hands, although my right side was affected more than the left. I'd often drop things and lose my balance just trying to sit down or go through a doorway.
I had finished my B.A. degree and was accepted into a PH.D. program at the University of Notre Dame. After being there a year and trying to get around campus the size of a small city, I was very discouraged about being able to complete my goal. I was not getting better, felt hopeless and became depressed. I had to give up many of the things I did with my kids like rollerblading, roller-skating, walking, biking and my favorite, playing racquetball. I was even having trouble getting everyday household chores done. The most difficult and humbling thing was to apply for a handicapped parking sticker - I felt as if I was giving in to the illness that plagued me. Then Dora Ross, a friend from my children's school, told me about Dr. Schneider and the success she had at his clinic for her back problems. I knew that I had to do something different before I ended up in a wheelchair, so I made an appointment and went in.
I was apprehensive about seeing a chiropractor because I had learned to depend on medicines for pain relief and knew he would not be able to prescribe medicines. I immediately found that the traditional idea I held of a chiropractor (twisting and contorting my body in all sorts of ways) did not hold up with Dr. Schneider. His technique, tests, x-rays, procedures, everything, was explained to me thoroughly. For the first time in several years I had hope that I could be well and feel better about myself.
I am healing and I do feel better. Within the first 2 weeks of treatment, the neuropathy began to disappear. The numbness, tingling and "restless leg" symptoms I had were rapidly dissipating and I was able to throw out my leg brace! I am now 9 months into treatment and not only has all the feeling and strength come back to both arms, hands and left leg, I have 90% of the feeling and strength back in my right leg, the leg I though was "dead" forever.
I am beginning my third year at Notre Dame and LOVE walking around the beautiful campus - the same campus I saw a year ago as an obstacle to my future. I have enjoyed playing racquetball again and have the strength to rollerblade, bike and walk with my kids. They think Dr. Mark is the best ... and so do I!
I am a welder/laborer and often have low back pain if my Category II is not right. Dr. Schneider specializes in a SOT technique (Sacral Occipital Technique) which is a method that corrects problems with your sacrum, the foundation of your spine. Often my ribs would “go out of place” when my Category II was out.
While seeing Dr. Schneider I was able to keep working while receiving treatments. Other Doctors wanted me to take pain pills and not work. I avoided not working, therapy, pain management, and possible surgery. My advice to you is to see Dr. Schneider first if you are in pain or are about to have surgery. It will save you a lot of pain and money in the long run.
I was in a car accident recently and went to a Medical Doctor for treatment. They examined me and suggested that I should go to see Dr. Mark Schneider, a local Chiropractor. I made an appointment and I am so happy that I did! When I came to see Dr. Schneider I suffered from whiplash and a reversal of the natural curve of my neck. I no longer have any pain in my neck and shoulders which is amazing, because when I first went in, I could barely move!
I highly recommend Dr. Schneider. He has many different methods of treatment to suit your specific needs. He and his staff are the most caring and friendly people. Dr. Schneider really cares and explains everything to you in a way you understand. Most Doctors just wanted to give me pain medication and take me off of work for awhile.
It was hard for me to find a method of Chiropractic adjustments in the past that I was comfortable with because of scoliosis surgery that I had years ago. The Activator Method of treatment that Dr. Schneider provides along with the physical therapy was just what I was looking for. I do data entry work where I must look up and down a lot that can wear on my neck. Dr. Schneider’s treatment really helped get me back on the right track without missing work!
My name is Marcie and at this time I am retired, but in the past I have worked in the medical field and also performed marionette shows for school children. Around twenty years ago I was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a drunk driver traveling at a high rate of speed. I was knocked unconscious and was sent to the hospital. At the hospital I was x-rayed and then sent home. A short time later I went back to the emergency room and this time I was admitted. My treatments at the hospital included traction and physical therapy but even after that I was still in so much pain that I was unable to work and could barely function. The medical Doctors explained to me that I had suffered trauma and that I was experiencing muscle spasms and there was nothing they could do for me.
I believe I was divinely directed to Schneider Clinic. I was one of Dr. Mark Schneider’s very first patients. After taking x-rays I was told by Dr. Schneider that I had a hairline fracture. My treatments were painless, the care was extremely kind and I began feeling like a human again. I was thrilled with the results of my new treatments with the Activator because my pain had been so severe. Relief did not come in just a day but with expert treatment my headaches and other day but with expert treatment my headaches and other symptoms subsided and I could work and live again!
Dr. Schneider has seen us through many extreme instances and my husband still cannot believe that I am free from those headaches!
I want to share a success story with all of you who are considering chiropractic treatment. I was hit in my car from behind on an icy road. I did not feel any pain or start to have any problems with my neck or back for several months. When I realized I had a problem with my neck and back, it was clicking with every move I made, side to side and up and down. It was very aggravating and I began having headaches and was very irritable.
My friend referred me to Dr. Mark Schneider. I did not believe in chiropractic therapy but decided to have him x-ray my neck and back. He showed me where my problems were. I was not imagining my pain. I found out that it was real. On my first several months into my treatment, my insurance submitted my claim to their own private board and decided on their own that I was beyond being healed and that they wouldn't pay for any more treatments. They had never even examined me.
Dr. Schneider told me that he thought I could be healed and that even though it would be at my expense, I should not stop my treatments. Well, I continued through, and my neck and back are healed. They don't click anymore and I don't have the headaches. He helped me, and he can help you, too!
I am a carpenter by trade and do a lot of roofing and room additions as well as all types of remodeling, so I need to be in good physical condition. I started seeing Dr. Schneider’s father about twenty-three years ago, and transferred to Dr. Mark Schneider upon his retirement. Dr. Schneider has always made my wife and I feel welcome and at ease with treatment. I have mostly had low back and hip pain that he currently sees me for on a maintenance basis. I appreciate his understanding of my problems and his knowledge of how best to help me.
I have also seen Dr. Schneider for carpal tunnel. I was thinking about surgery before asking Dr. Schneider if he could look at my wrists. He treated my carpal tunnel and guess what; I no longer have carpal tunnel! He has also helped to relieve headaches for me that I used to have.
I am so thankful to have found the Schneider’s and will continue with my maintenance therapy to avoid future problems with my spine and body.
I was referred to Dr. Schneider by my son-in-law due to severe low back and leg pain. Prior to my first visit, I was skeptical and reluctant to go. However, after my initial consultation, I immediately felt comfortable and confident about my care. I was placed on a treatment plan that included spinal adjustments and spinal decompression.
By the end of my treatment plan, I was pain free! I can now “do pretty much anything that I want to do.” I am now able to golf, fish, work in the yard, walk, and play with my dog without pain! I am so happy to know that I have avoided heavy pain medication and surgery.
My experience at Schneider Clinic has been great. Dr. Schneider takes a personal interest in his patients and completely explains his findings from the x-rays taken and how he is going to treat your problem. His staff and nurses are all very proficient and friendly.
I am currently now on a maintenance treatment plan which means that I have my spine checked once a month. Dr. Schneider checks my spine and works on any areas that need adjusting. He is keeping me healthy and feeling good! I am a chiropractic patient for life!
For the past 40 years I have suffered with chronic back pain, which became increasingly worse within the last 10 years causing severe pain. I felt as though I wouldn’t ever live without pain. I know I was more irritable due to the pain. It was constant and always on my mind. Some nights I hardly ever slept at all. I had previously had chiropractic treatments on my back for the past 15 years, which would help for a couple of days; however the pain would always come back. Upon no relief from the previous chiropractor, I decided to see a spinal orthopedic doctor who recommended spinal injections. I had a series of three injections of which each injection provided about two weeks worth of relief, but the pain would always return. I began to worry about taking too many steroids and the effect it would have on my body. The spinal orthopedic doctor then recommended surgery, but I didn’t want to go down that path. The doctor then prescribed Percocet and Vicodin for the pain. The pain medicine didn’t even touch my pain. As a last resort, I decided to try spinal decompression therapy with Schneider Clinic.
Since decompression therapy was a fairly new procedure I was a little skeptical, but I thought it was worth a try. As soon as I finished my first treatment I began to feel some relief and it just kept getting better from there! It took some time and a lot of patience but it worked! Schneider Clinic took plenty of time to review my x-rays and explain what needed to be done. The staff was very honest, friendly, and was always sympathetic to my pain.
After decompression therapy I can do more housework and more importantly can now play with my grandson! Now I am a much happier person because I don’t have to deal with or think about the pain. I would highly recommend decompression therapy to anyone inquiring. The relief from pain is worth the cost. I am enjoying life more and more now!
I am a homemaker and do general housework. I have had severe pain in the lower back with the pain traveling all the way into the left leg and foot. My lifestyle was being affected; I had to get around on crutches. I have been to see a Podiatrist and an Orthopedist. Neither of the Doctors gave me an answer. The other Doctors just prescribed pain - killers and sent me on my way. I was not getting any better, so my son recommended I seek treatment from a Chiropractor. I went to the telephone book and found Dr. Schneider and the Schneider Clinic in the Yellow Pages.
After receiving Chiropractic care I can now do most of my housework and I can go shopping for a reasonable amount of time. Even my friends and family have noticed a change in me. My husband doesn't have to help me with as many chores as he used to do.
I believe if I had not come to see Dr. Schneider I would have been headed for surgery!
My occupation is “Mom” and “Grandmother.” Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus. For the last five years I have had an unbearable pain in my lower back and hips. I have had a lot of unsuccessful medical treatments for my pain but the pain limited me so much that I could no longer stand for over thirty minutes at a time. I could no longer take my grandchildren to the zoo because I could not walk very far without having to sit and rest to recover from the pain. When I tried to talk with my medical doctors all they did was increase my pain medication. I was up to sixty pills a week! The pain became increasingly unbearable and was keeping me awake nights. My pain began going from my neck and upper back down into my arms when I went to bed. I thought I was going into depression and that I had no life at all.
I tried seeking treatment for my pain at a spinal adjustment clinic but these treatments only increased my pain and I had to take even more medication. I felt I was losing the battle fast and was ready to give up hope because it seemed no one really understood me or was listening to me.
One day while I was out driving I saw Dr. Schneider’s sign. So in a last attempt, I stopped in to see if my insurance covered treatment there, and it did! What impressed me the most about Schneider Clinic was Dr. Schneider and his staff. I have been to so many doctors that I can say without a doubt that they are THE most caring office, and I felt that they were taking time with me as an individual. When I went back to see and hear my test results on the second visit, I was told that the pain was not caused by my Lupus but was due to a problem with my lower spine. I have continued going to Dr. Schneider to receive treatment and will continue on a regular basis to keep my spinal health maintained.
Best of all, I feel I have my life back for the first time in six years! I now only take two to four pain pills a week and I can sleep through the night. I was able to bake Christmas cookies and goodies for everyone and was on my feet for hours at a time without discomfort. The best “gift” of all was that I was able to take my three year-old grandson to the zoo for Christmas!
I am a retired woman that has had lower back pain and right leg numbness for years. I felt completely disabled. I took medication for the pain. I was afraid to go out alone because of my fear of falling. I had 2 MRI's and saw 4 Doctors - all Neurologists. They all recommended surgery on my back. I went ahead and had the surgery. I feel no better even after the surgery maybe even worse.
My daughter had been seeing Dr. Schneider and had a lot of help with her headaches. She asked if I would like to come to see her Doctor. I was afraid of seeing a Chiropractor after a bad experience I had in the past at a different Chiropractor. I decided to go and get his opinion. After only 1 week of treatment I have very little pain in the lower back. The right leg is beginning to be a little less painful. My sons have even commented on how much better I walk (without my cane). I have no doubt if my daughter had not begged me to see Dr. Schneider I would have put myself more and more into a wheelchair. I didn't feel I could take the pain of walking anymore.
Last week I went to the grocery store all by myself. I was so excited and felt such a sense of accomplishment!
I am fifty years of age, however, feel like a 70 or 80 year old. I had severe pain in my heel and foot when I walked. I always thought that I was suffering from plantar fasciitis of which prevented me from wearing my favorite pair of heels. After x-rays of my foot were taken, Dr. Schneider diagnosed me with spurs on my heel and on top of the joint of my big toe. Dr. Schneider recommended that I try cold laser treatments to help decrease pain and the size of the spur.
Since starting laser therapy the spur has decreased by 50%! My pain level has greatly decreased and I am able to walk with little discomfort. I am now able to exercise with less pain and also get a better workout. My advice is to just do it! Follow Dr. Schneider’s recommendations and listen to his staff, they have your best interest at heart. As for the future, I am looking forward to the day I can wear those heels again!
When I was seventy seven years old I began to have severe pain continuously in my back and knees. My medical doctor diagnosed me with Degenerative Arthritis. He did everything he could do, but to no avail. By this time I had to use a wheelchair, because I had no relief of my pain. Finally in desperation, he sent me to Elkhart General Hospital's Pain Center. They prescribed narcotics for my pain, which barely worked.
My grandson was a patient of Dr. Schneiders, and he brought my daughter a brochure about the Activator and it said there was help for Degenerative Arthritis in elderly people. With my condition the way it was, I was told not to go to a Chiropractor, but with this technique I could give it a try. I'm so thankful I did. Within one month my pain subsided. I could start using a walker and within two months I was taken off the narcotics. I am now on a maintenance program and walking with a cane. I'm so thankful God lead me to Dr. Schneider and the Schneider Clinic!
A sinus problem is what originally brought me to the Schneider Clinic. However, during the first or second adjustment, Dr. Schneider said he could tell I was having some distress in the stomach area. I told him of the heartburn I have had for nearly twenty years. These heartburn attacks would occur no less than twice, and sometimes three and four, times a week. Some attacks were light and would go away in minutes with milk or an antacid pill. But many of the attacks were very severe, with pain in my chest and back and down through my abdomen. My face would break out in beads of sweat and I had difficulty breathing. The pain was more intense if I sat or lay down. I noticed my knees becoming weak when I tried to stand.
After one of these harder attacks, I was weak and sore for a whole day. My gallbladder was blamed for all of this. So, seventeen years ago, my gallbladder and appendix were removed. The attacks continued. It seemed that the rest of my life would be like this. Being a homemaker, this problem didn't have as much of a destructive effect as it might have if I were missing work because of it. But emotionally, it took its toll. I was living on antacid tablets. I feared many foods, which made me, feel uneasy and going to someone's home for a meal. I didn't want to offend anyone, but I was very picky about food. Vacations were difficult; I missed enjoying new tastes. Even with being careful, I spent many vacation nights awake with attacks.
I never knew there was any kind of chiropractic help for this. If Dr. Schneider hadn't asked about the stomach distress, I wouldn't have mentioned the heartburn, thinking nothing could be done.
But now, after about a dozen adjustments, I have gone almost two months without any attacks, mild or strong. I have even recently indulged in hot chocolate late in the evening and slept the night through. This would have been impossible six months ago.
I have an animal farm where I raise and train horses. My job requires a lot of heavy physical work, such as pushing feed carts and lifting hay bales. When I am not doing chores on the farm, I take care of a home and family.
I have had heart palpitations for the last twenty years. I thought it was a condition I had to live with and that everyone had also. I had some pain and fluttering around my heart which was scary at times when it got bad. It usually occurred after hard work or when I sat or laid down after hard work or exercise. I never sought treatment for this condition because I thought there was nothing to be done for this condition, that it was normal as people got older. So I accepted this condition into my lifestyle because I was told since the age of ten by medical doctors that it was a heart murmur and I would just have to live with it.
I was shocked when I first heard from my husband that a Chiropractor could help my situation. My husband encouraged me to go to the Schneider Clinic after he had success with controlling his pain with the help of Dr. Schneider. I decided to go to the clinic to get relief from the uncomfortable feeling.
I now feel more comfortable in my whole chest area and all the flutters and jitters are gone. I feel much more stable and can work without the flutters interrupting. I now can stop worrying about my condition and the possibility of it worsening into further heart trouble. My friends and family have seen a big difference in my attitude and are shocked that a Chiropractor is the one who corrected my problem.
Thank you Dr. Schneider.
A few years ago before I came to the Schneider Clinic, I was experiencing pain in my lower back that went up through my shoulder, neck and above the eye. At times the pain in my rib cage was so severe I thought I was having heart problems.
I had been going to a chiropractor that used the hand adjustments but I decided to come to the Schneider Clinic when I heard about the gentle treatments with the activator.
After I was thoroughly examined by Dr. Schneider, I was told the chest pains were caused by twisted ribs pinching nerves in my chest. Since I have been receiving treatments I am feeling much better. I have been relieved of a lot of pain, which is especially noticeable in my job where sitting at a desk and using the phone had become very uncomfortable. Complaining and being "grouchy" is not my nature, so being relieved of the pain has helped me return to my own pleasant self.
I am a 68 year old male and am retired from a machine shop. My time now is my own and I am active in taking care of my wife and mother who need a lot of help. It has been a number of years since I first started being treated by Dr. Schneider. I have had two open heart operations. Since then I have had a lot of pain in my legs and feet, angina has always been a problem. I have four "stints" put in my arteries to help the blood flow and it was not a very successful procedure for me. My Cardiologist has said he has done all for me that can be done for my legs and angina.
Since having and being treated by Dr. Schneider. I now have much less angina then before I was treated by Dr. Schneider. Through his treatments and the nutrition program I am able to handle stress and pain in a much different way. I didn't have any idea that Chiropractic could or would help with angina.
I have much less pain in my legs and the angina is much better....I am a great believer in Chiropractic treatment. The staff at the Schneider Clinic does a very efficient and professional service to their patients and their attitude is superb. I have told all of my family and friends of the friendly and professional service at the clinic.
If I would have not looked for other services when my medical Doctor said there was nothing more that could be done, I still would be having great pain and my stress would be out of control.
Thank you Schneider Clinic.
I had headaches daily before coming to see Dr. Schneider. My wife Melba encouraged me to come in with her for her appointment to see Dr. Schneider. She had been seeing Dr. Schneider for her lower back pain and learned that Dr. Schneider can also help with headaches!
Dr. Schneider recommended that I receive an adjustment of the spine to help my headaches. He also recommended that I start Decompression Therapy on my Neck to help treat my pain and discomfort. Other Doctors that I have been to for my headaches have only prescribed pain medication. I am happy that both of these procedures have helped my headaches go away!
Since seeing Dr. Schneider, I only have a mild headache once a week. I would suggest to anyone that has headaches to see Dr. Schneider for relief from pain. I am a retired school teacher and I can now enjoy life and my time off without headaches!
I don’t have a job as of now. I am although a full time student. That includes carrying a fully loaded backpack around. When I first came into the clinic I was having horrid migraine headaches to the point that I couldn’t move and I felt debilitated. I have had these headaches my whole life; they seemed to get more severe over the years. My mother said that even as a toddler I used to have really bad headaches. I had taken all kinds of medications for these migraines. I had physical therapy, and other kind of treatment (including other chiropractic treatment). Nothing ever worked to ease them.
These migraines had gotten so bad that I had started getting depressed because I really couldn’t do anything. I wasn’t able to be with family or friends, or do the things that I loved to do. I’ve always wanted to work with cars, but never could because I couldn’t sit up for long periods of time. They also caused me to miss over a month of school at one time. They were getting unbearable.
Dr. Schneider examined me and said that I had an unnatural curve in my lower spine, and also that I had some pinched nerves in my back and neck that could cause my headaches. He recommended coming for chiropractic treatment with the Activator Instrument and some physiotherapy. I didn’t like the idea of more chiropractic things being done. I had a different kind of chiropractic before and it only made my headaches worse.
What made me change my mind was that one day I had another migraine; a friend came over and told me that “something had to be done.” I decided I couldn’t live like that anymore. I‘m so happy that I went in that first day, now I feel 130% better then I ever have, even when I was a child. I haven’t had a migraine in over four months. I have slight headaches every so often, but they’re not debilitating. I can now be with family and friends when I choose to. I also can play on the computer and work on cars with my brother. I also can drive, which I wouldn’t have been able to do with a migraine. Everyone has noticed a big change in me and my attitude.
I am a manicurist, pedicurist - nail artist and I had migraine headaches at least 6 times a month. I have had the migraines for years. I could no longer play tennis, ride my bike or even exercise. I saw a Neurologist and was given cortisone shots and pretisone, which caused me to gain weight. I also saw a Rheumatologist. The Doctors stated that I had rebound headaches and was given many different medications to try. I was also told that I had a bulging disc and arthritis. It was recommended that I go up north to a Pain Clinic for therapy.
A friend at church referred me to Dr. Schneider. I had shared my pain with her and she shared with me what Dr. Schneider could do for me. I had been debating about going to the pain clinic, so I thought I would go and see Dr. Schneider.
After seeing Dr. Schneider my headaches are minimal. I can actually get out of bed on my own, and I sleep through the night, which I had not been able to do for months. The rest of my body is not in so much pain and I do not have the funny looking eyes I had because of my headaches.
I feel if I had not come to see Dr. Schneider I would probably have been bedridden and would be living on pain medication and steroids, even though I would continue to have my faith. I refuse to end up as my mother did.
Vitamins, health and Dr. Schneider just go together! I pray for wisdom for him as he works on me and all his patients, that God will help him.
I have had severe headaches and pain in the neck for over twelve years as a result of a fall After the fall I was taking large doses of post-oop pain relievers but with little relief. The pain affected every area of my life because I could not sit up, stand or walk for very long. I saw neurosurgeons, neurologists, internists, general practitioners and even researchers in neurology at Penn University and Mayo clinic, they all agreed that it was a permanent injury and I should just remain in bed and keep taking the pain medication for the rest of my life. I had experience with a Chiropractic doctor before with favorable results. Dr. Schneider gave me a check up while visiting our missionaries in Argentina.
He suggested that I see him when I returned to the U.S. because he could help me to a degree. Before seeing Dr. Schneider I was in a constant "fog" of pain that never let up. Although I have headaches that vary in intensity, they are no where near the severity as before. I am able to sit up for longer periods of time, and I am taking on some of my former responsibilities again. My friends and family have noticed that I am more mobile and feeling better. The painless treatments with Dr Schneider and the Activator have helped me to discontinue my pain relievers. Dr Schneider helped my healing process instead of hiding it with medications. If I had continued taking the medication, I would probably still be in bed with no hope of relief.
My name is Cindy and I came to the Schneider clinic seeking help for tension headaches that I suffered from for many years. I was first introduced to Dr. Schneider by a “Dear Neighbor” Letter offering his services. I was immediately drawn to this letter as I noticed that Schneider Clinic specializes in headaches as well as back pain.
My headaches affected a huge part of my life. I had difficulty concentrating at work and began to make errors. Also, I had to immediately go home from work to sit the rest of the day and night to find relief from my headaches. Essentially, I was not able to do the things that I loved to do or able to live the kind of life that I wanted to. So I sought help.
I first went to another Chiropractor, then my Family Physician, and finally a Neurologist. Only to find that over-the-counter medications, prescription medications, treatments, tests etc. did not provide relief for my headaches. I have always been a believer in chiropractic care (been treated on-and-off for 26 years), however, was not getting the results or relief that I wanted.
Upon my first visit with therapy and a manipulation at Schneider clinic, I found relief from my headaches! In three weeks time I became headache free and have continued to be. My husband and friends began to notice that I had a more positive attitude, more energy, and also more of an ability to be free to focus. I felt so good that by the third week, I decided to re-decorate/re-wallpaper my bathroom which had been an endeavor of mine for some time!
If I had not come to Schneider Clinic, I would still be suffering from headaches, spending a lot of time and money on medical bills, and still finding no answers or relief. I am very thankful for the services and care that I received at Schneider Clinic. It has changed my life and I am grateful for that!
I am a homemaker, and I baby-sit. My back has ached for years and I had headaches almost daily. I was taking over-the-counter medication and sometimes "script" medication if my headache was severe. I was fatigued and cranky. When my headache was severe, I would have to sleep. My husband told me to do something about my headaches. My neighbor, Tammy, brought me with her to her chiropractor, Dr. Mark Schneider. Tammy thought for sure that he could help me. I couldn't believe it! My headaches went away after my first treatment! My legs aren't as restless as they used to be. I still get cranky at times, but that's a woman's nature.
I think eventually my spine would have become decayed, if I had not received treatments, and the pain would have become worse. I am very happy that my neighbor brought me to see Dr. Schneider.
As a 23-year old woman I have my entire life before me. However, over the course of the last two and a half years, I have spent every moment in pain. I suffer from Fibromyalgia: a large word encompassing a broad array of symptoms and questions. What is it? How did I get it? Is there anything that can be done for me? I've seen more doctors than I care to admit and have been turned away time and time again. They’d say things like, "You're in wonderful health." "We can find nothing wrong with you.” "You simply have too much stress in your life.” “It's nothing more that a state of mind, you’re feeling well."
Though I have a tremendous amount of respect for the medical field, I was finding no one to successfully treat me. I was falling into a deep hole of hopelessness and depression. Since being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and undergoing treatment from Dr. Schneider I feel alive. Simply knowing I wasn't losing my mind alleviated some of the frustration. More importantly, the initial consultation with Dr. Schneider brought hope: hope of healing, hope of becoming active again, and hope of being freed from the captivity of unending pain.
Dr. Schneider worked closely with Dr. Glazier, an anesthesiologist, who provided trigger point injections. The injections allowed my muscles to relax and begin repairing so that the Chiropractic adjustments and manipulation could improve the functioning of my nervous system. In conjunction with one another, the treatments offered at the Schneider Clinic and the doctors and staff themselves, are improving my well-being, realigning my spine, and providing me the chance to live a happy and healthy life.
I work as a classroom aide and office assistant in a school system. I had low back pain off and on for a few years, but I started having foot pain also. My low back and foot pain was so severe that I gave up exercising. I could not walk very far without limping and because I could not stand to wear regular shoes I began wearing athletic shoes all the time. I even used crutches for a few weeks. I had trouble rolling over in bed, getting out of bed and getting out of a sitting position.
I saw a Medical Doctor who diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. He told me to loose weight and to wear athletic shoes. I also saw another Chiropractor who did not take my pain seriously. Nothing seemed to help me, and I began loosing faith in Chiropractic treatment. My niece was seeing Dr. Schneider at the time and he had helped her a lot so I decided to try going to Dr. Schneider for my problems.
After seeing Dr. Schneider I can now exercise again. My pain is much more infrequent and I don’t limp when I walk distances. I can turn over in bed easily and I can wear regular shoes! I believe I was headed in the direction of being more and more disabled and now I am much more active.
Prior to seeing Dr. Schneider, I had back surgery on my bottom last spinal disc. I had to be careful of my back ever since then because of the seriousness of the surgery. Very suddenly, I was unable to walk due to complications and pain in my low back.
When I came to Schneider Clinic I would say my pain was at a level 10. Two weeks later, and after several adjustments from Dr. Schneider, I would say my pain was at a level 6. After three weeks of treatments I was feeling much better. So much better, in fact, that while on vacation in Las Vegas I was able to walk the entire time! I walked more than three miles with no restrictions and even went swimming!
Thank you Dr. Schneider!
I just want to thank Dr. Dan Schneider for the time you shared with Julie and I. I can’t believe how much better I feel already! I came home and shared with Robin about the procedure and how I can breathe out of the right side of my nose. Oh, and I called my best friend in Florida and shared it with her also. God has truly blessed you. Thank you again for a headache free night for me.
In 1967, a 55 gallon barrel fell off a trailer on a loading dock and hit me in the head and neck. The doctors gave me three months to live and I was placed into a body cast. I remained in the body cast for the next two years. I was on countless medications. I had and 4 neck surgeries at C4-5-6 and they put bone chips in to support my neck. I also had 3 low back surgeries on L4-5 with a metal plate insert. They had to take three pieces of bone from my pelvis to stabilize my back.
At age 76, I was totally disabled and lived in a mobility chair all day. I wasn’t able to walk or dress myself. Due to the bladder paralysis, I was unable to squeeze my buttocks and had to wear Depends diapers because I would wet the bed. My neck hurt and cracked all the time. The pain ran down both of my arms all the way to my hands, making it impossible to raise my arms without severe pain and soreness. I hadn’t read the paper in over two years because my eyes were failing me, even with trying new glasses. I rarely slept more than two hours per night due to the pain. This was just the way it was for 37 years. I honestly wanted to kill myself or hurt myself because I couldn’t stand the pain and miserable condition I was it.
The first time I visited Dr. Schneider, he had to literally lift me onto the adjustment table. If it weren’t for the Activator and the table, Dr. Schneider wouldn’t have been able to treat someone with my condition. After my first visit, I didn’t wet myself for three weeks. I was able to sleep seven hours for the first time in 37 years! I used to only sleep 1 or 2 hours a night due to the pain. I was also able to stand alone and button my shirt for the first time in years.
After six treatments, I am still sleeping all night for five to seven hours with naps in the daytime. I am able to lean over and lift my footplate in my electric cart, which I hadn’t been able to do before my treatments. I used to use my cane to lift the plate. The arthritis in my knees is gone, my neck cracking and popping has stopped, and my range of motion is much better. My eyes are better now too and I am able to read again.
I now park my electric cart five steps away from the Activator table and walk to the table on my own. I am very thankful for Dr. Schneider and am grateful for the results his treatments have given me.
When I was young I fell twice. I landed on my neck. I discovered that I was turning my entire body to drive rather than just turning my neck. I went to the medical doctor and he gave me muscle relaxants. Over the next 15 years I went to many different chiropractors but never had true success. Then in November 2003 I fell on my right side involving the elbow, knee, hip and shoulder. I tried another chiropractor. He used up all my insurance paid visits and I only had fair success. With no insurance I had no where else to turn. I suffered in pain. Being a piano teacher it was difficult for me to do what I love with right-sided pain. My students still came but I had to cut my practice time down drastically due to the pain.
In December 2004 I attended a bible study and met Dr. Schneider's wife. She suggested that I contact him to see if there were anything he could do to help my pain. I was leery because of the poor experiences I had in the past with other chiropractors. First, Dr. Schneider worked on the pain in my head. I learned to live with a constant dull headache. Next he worked on my neck and shoulder. It is like he is pulling the layers off an onion. Now I am able to function without pain.
For many years I had suffered with a very stiff and sore neck. I had great difficulty turning my head to the right and found myself turning my whole body to look at something. I also had a hump on the back of my neck that caused my neck to hang down and forward. I even had trouble with memory loss. I had previously been, receiving chiropractic treatments when I learned about decompression therapy.
The doctor spoke very highly of the treatment and its great success so I decided to give it a try. I have experienced wonderful results! My memory is much better, I no longer have any pain in my neck, and my hump is nearly gone! The staff at Schneider Clinic did a great job with my care. I was so relaxed during each treatment I often fell asleep! After receiving decompression therapy my daily work is much easier! I would advise everyone to try decompression therapy if they are a candidate. It works!
For as long as I can remember, I have experienced intense pain in my lower back, hip, and leg, as well as into my neck, shoulders, and down both arms. I also had constant tingling into my arms and hands that made it difficult to complete my daily work and sleep at night. Walking for me was very painful and very limiting. After years of pain I decided to try chiropractic adjustments, deep muscle massages, and ice packs. Of which seemed to help temporarily, but did not get rid of the pain. Everything changed after I decided to try Decompression Therapy with Schneider Clinic. I feel 100% healed after having Decompression therapy on both my neck and low back! I have no pain AT ALL and have increased range of motion back in my low back and neck. Life is such a blessing without pain!
The staff at Schneider Clinic is wonderful and very caring. Each staff member is friendly and very helpful; their patients become their friends! After decompression therapy I am now able to go on daily walks and continue my daily work pain free! Many facilities may have a decompression table, but Schneider Clinic is the most experienced and truly understands how to work with a patient to get them better! I am so happy I chose their facility! I would encourage anyone to try this treatment! It may take some time, but you won't regret it!
For many years I have experienced constant stiffness and severe pain in my neck, upper back, and shoulders. The pain I experienced affected every aspect of my life, from cleaning my house to playing with my grandchildren. The pain got so severe that I didn't even feel like I had a life because I was so limited in my daily activities. I started regularly visiting a chiropractor for my pain, which provided some relief, but did not seem to permanently get rid of all the pain. I then heard about Schneider Clinic and thought I would try Decompression Therapy.
Decompression Therapy has given me my life back! I can engage in regular daily activities without any pain such as ironing, working in my garden, and even sleeping! The staff at Schneider Clinic is very caring and is truly concerned for you and would do anything to help you find relief! I would recommend Decompression Therapy to anyone and would say "definitely go for it!"
Visiting Chiropractor after Chiropractor for leg, arm, hand, neck pain, and numbness with no relief got to be very discouraging! The symptoms I was experiencing started affecting my daily life in that walking and sitting became very difficult and painful. A family member told me about Decompression Therapy with Schneider Clinic, so I thought I would give it a try!
Mid-way through my Decompression Therapy I started to notice the majority of my symptoms diminishing. After finishing my Decompression Therapy I no longer have leg, neck, arm, or hand pain and rarely ever experience any numbness! The staff is really great and is committed to work with you until your pain is gone! I can now walk and sit for longer periods without severe pain! I would tell anyone who is in severe pain and looking for some relief to "give it a try!"
Prior to Schneider Clinic, I had joint pain for a few years along with headaches and neck pain over the past few months. I am a salesman and spend a lot of time traveling for my job and sitting at my office desk. My pain had been a constant annoyance in my day to day life.
Afraid that I would continue to feel miserable and slowly lose my range of motion, I decided to seek help. After hearing how Schneider Clinic had helped my sister-in-law, I decided to consult with the Schneider Clinic staff about my care. I’ve always been a big supporter of chiropractic care and was looking for a game plan to correct my problems.
After sitting down with Dr. Schneider to discuss my condition, we came up with a solid plan of decompression therapy paired with regular chiropractic treatments. I still continues to follow my recommended treatment plan and, as I like to say, I’ve had "perfect attendance" with my appointments.<
As a result, my headaches are completely gone and my neck and joint pain are only a fraction of what they used to be. My range of motion and posture are also much better than before. When friends and family ask what made such a difference, I reply with have "as much as I talk about my improvements, you have no choice but to notice!”
After years of neck pain, I was tired of not being able to sleep comfortably in bed or turn my neck from side to side. I had previously been to a chiropractor and found some relief, but still had quite a bit of pain. Someone recommended decompression therapy to me, so I decided to give it a try.
My results are amazing! It is so wonderful to be able to move and sleep without pain. The staff at the Schneider Clinic is so kind, friendly, and very helpful. I am now able to finish all my household duties and gardening is fun and easy again. I’m so happy to be able to say that I am pain free! I would tell anyone with back or neck pain to try decompression therapy. Don't wait too long. It sure beats surgery!
Thank you Schneider Clinic.
After suffering from neck pain and upper back pain for almost fifteen years, I felt so horrible and depressed. Everyday I experienced headaches, dizziness, and sometimes even vomiting. I wasn't able to do my own work anymore and found it very difficult to think or focus. I wasn't able to be a mom for my family of which was very hard for me.
I went to Goshen Hospital for a Cat-Scan and went to three different chiropractors and none of them could tell me what was wrong. I finally decided I would just have to live with the pain. I then heard of decompression therapy and decided to try it out because I had nothing else to lose.
I feel as though this treatment is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself. I can think more clearly, actually sleep all night, and wake up in the morning and feel like a new person. I can also go on my daily walks again, ride my bike, and sew without pain. I have energy that I haven't had for years. It has given me life again!
The staff at Schneider Clinic is wonderful and caring. They all do a great job and I couldn't have asked for better assistance. A big THANK YOU to all of you! I would encourage anyone who is in pain to give decompression therapy a try, it is well worth it!
I forgot what life was like without pain, due to the severe pain in my low back and legs over the years. I had a difficult time trying to sit down because of the pain and was unable to lie in bed at night. I had no social life because I didn't want anyone to see how much pain I was in and how badly it affected my everyday life. I continued to work, but found it very hard daily to keep going. My moods were terrible and I always found myself angry, depressed, or upset about anything and everything.
I went to my family doctor in search for pain relief. He prescribed pain pills, which I faithfully took everyday for five years. Eventually, the pain pills did not even touch my pain. So, I then decided to try cortisone shots. I had a series of three shots and had temporary relief, but the pain slowly came back. I was at a loss. I had no idea what to do next because I did not want to have surgery.
One day I saw an ad in the paper advertising decompression therapy, I quickly made a call to check it out and found myself in the office of The Schneider Clinic shortly thereafter. I was desperate to try anything, so I gave decompression therapy a try. I have not regretted it since!
I have no pain and am finally able to say that I’m happy to be alive. My moods are better, my attitude is better, and every day just keeps getting better and better!
My overall impression of the Schneider Clinic is excellent. Not only is the staff very friendly, kind, and caring, but truly care about you as a person and are willing to take the time to listen. The staff helped me get through this difficult time emotionally and physically.
I am now walking better than I ever have, and without my cane. I am standing straight and now able to look my spouse square in the eyes, whereas I couldn't before. I am able to sit down at my job and able to sit in the car all day when traveling with no pain. For someone inquiring about decompression therapy I would definitely say, try it. You will truly be happy with the results and not regret it one bit.
After a very serious bicycle accident, l suffered with severe neck, mid-back, and low back pain. Along with this pain I also experienced frequent and severe headaches, vision problems, and depression. Because of my injuries, I saw numerous doctors, one being a Neurologist, who saw some concerning findings on a brain MRI. I was very limited in my daily activities and workload due to the pain. I found it very difficult to do simple things on a daily basis such as sitting, bending, or lifting, which was very frustrating.
I heard about decompression therapy and thought it might help, so I decided to give it a try!
After decompression therapy I feel like a new person! My pain is gone, my headaches are gone, my vision is better, and I am living life to the fullest! I have been back to my neurologist numerous times for follow-up MRI's on my brain and he is amazed at the difference. I can finally work outside, in the house, or in the garden without pain. It was not an overnight fix and definitely took some time, but it was well worth it.
I would encourage anyone to give it a try because of the results I have received.
For years I suffered with low back pain, leg pain, muscle spasms, a stiff neck, and headaches. I would wake up at night with terrible pain and couldn't stay in bed for longer than six hours at time. At one point, my pain got so bad that I was unable to walk for over two days. It became very difficult to work, sit, and sleep. I found myself taking 2-3 pain pills and/ or muscle relaxants every couple hours just to get me through the day. I visited four different Chiropractors to find answers, but was unsuccessful. I heard about Decompression Therapy and decided it was my only hope.
While undergoing Decompression Therapy, I noticed after just twelve treatments my pain started getting better. Some days were better than others, but they were never as bad as the days before Decompression. The staff at Schneider Clinic was very encouraging and clearly wanted to see me get better! Now that I have completed my Decompression Therapy I am working without pain, sleeping at night, sitting comfortably in a chair, and bending with ease! I would tell anyone to give it a try, but don't expect an immediate miracle. The results take time, but it is truly worth it in the end!
I had experienced unbearable pain that felt as if I was being stabbed by knives in my neck, back, and legs for years. I couldn't move my neck or hardly take a step without pain. I could barely walk for almost two months after falling on ice. Every step made me cry and scream in pain. I couldn't stand or sit for long periods of time and had terrible pain when trying to lie in bed at night. I went to my medical doctor, where he prescribed pain pills and muscle relaxants, but nothing seemed to help.
I heard about Decompression Therapy with Schneider Clinic and decided to start after attending one of their seminars. I have come from hardly being able to walk and thinking I would be in a wheel chair my whole life, to using just a walker, and now only a cane! I hope to one day soon be able to get rid of the cane as well.
The staff at Schneider Clinic is wonderful and caring. They are always helpful and concerned with how I am feeling. I love and appreciate them all.
I am now able to take a shower, complete housework, walk, and get in and out of a car without pain! I would tell anyone to try Decompression Therapy. Go for it, it works!
After twenty years of being in pain, I was exhausted. I suffered from headaches, severe neck pain, limited range of motion in my neck, severe hip pain, and numbness down both legs. I decided there was something else out there I had to try. I had gotten to the point where the pain was hindering my quality of life. My hip and leg pain affected my walking, my ability to go up and down stairs, and even my ability to sit without pain. I had been taking muscle relaxants that were prescribed by my medical doctor in addition to 10-12 Ibuprofen a day just to cope, but it wasn't helping at all. I heard about decompression therapy and decided to see if it could help.
After Decompression Therapy I now have a quality of life that allows me to live pain free! The headaches are gone and I'm able to walk and climb stairs with the greatest of ease. More importantly, I have been able to enjoy my grandchildren again and a quality of life I've missed out on for years. I am now able to complete every day household activities, work, focus on our ministry, exercise, and simply enjoy life again!
Decompression Therapy is a wonderful alternative to surgery. I found it to be a non-invasive answer to pain I had dealt with for many years. Not only did I find it to give great relief but also very therapeutic.
Thank you Schneider Clinic!
I am more than pleased with the results that I received from Decompression Therapy at Schneider Clinic.
I had previously been experiencing chronic low back pain, as well as pain all down my left leg. I often had to sit down to ease the pain in my back. I was so tired of the constant pain that I had a series of three cortisone injections in my low back, but had no results from the procedure. So I decided to try decompression Therapy.
I have found the staff at the Schneider Clinic to be very honest, friendly, and professional. With the wonderful results I have received from Decompression Therapy, I can now stand on my feet for longer periods of time without pain. I would highly recommend Decompression Therapy to anyone with low hack or neck pain.
Before discovering decompression therapy I had numbness in my legs, a constant dull ache in my low back, and debilitating low back and leg pain that made me unable to perform my job or even live my life. The pain symptoms I experienced daily limited my job performance and caused me to withdraw from personal relationships and activities. I was drawn to any type of treatment that would hopefully alleviate the pain. I tried cortisone injections into my disc, physical therapy, and lots of pain medicine, but found only temporary relief.
The one word that I would use to describe my experience with the Schneider Clinic is "miraculous"! I had begun to think that I would have to live out the rest of my life with terrible debilitating pain because the surgeons said I was not a surgical candidate, yet I was in extreme pain.
After completing decompression therapy I can finally work out again without pain. I can work all day as a hairdresser with no pain. I can actually go out to dinner. And I can finally sit for longer periods without having to get up and walk around every 15 minutes because of the pain!
The staff at Schneider Clinic is very professional, well educated, kind, caring, and completely wonderful. To anyone who is inquiring about decompression therapy with Schneider Clinic I would simply say avoid everything that provides only temporary relief and do what works best: Decompression Therapy!
For the past 40 years I have suffered with chronic hack pain, which became increasingly worse within the last 10 years causing severe pain. I felt as though I wouldn't ever live without pain.
I know I was more irritable due to the pain. It was constant and always on my mind. Some nights I hardly even slept at all I had previously had chiropractic treatments on my hack for the past 15 years, which would help for a couple of days; however the pain would always come hack.
The spinal orthopedic doctor then recommended surgery, but I didn't want to go down that path. The doctor then prescribed Percocet and Vicodin for the pain. The pain medicine didn't even touch my pain.
The Schneider Clinic staff took plenty of time to review my x-rays and explain what needed to be done. The staff was very honest, friendly, and was always sympathetic to my pain. I am now undergoing my maintenance program where I come every two weeks for a whole year. I can do more housework and more importantly can now play with my grandson! Now I am a much happier person because I don't have to deal with or think about the pain. And with my maintenance program, I continue to get better and better all the time! I would highly recommend decompression therapy to anyone inquiring. The relief from pain is worth the cost. I am enjoying life more and more now.
Before beginning Decompression Therapy with Schneider Clinic I was always in pain and unable to stand up straight from a sitting position. Pain caused everyday tasks to become extremely difficult, such as vacuuming. I also love playing golf and retrieving the golf ball from the hole was a very hard thing for me to do. had previously tried sacroiliac shots and regular chiropractic adjustments, but found no relief in either of those treatments. My overall impression of the results I have experienced with Decompression therapy at Schneider Clinic are very favorable.
The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. They are very well trained and efficient. After completing Decompression Therapy, I am now able to get out of a car or off a chair and stand up straight pain free. I have also improved my golf game and find it much easier to finish a full round of golf. If someone was inquiring about Decompression Therapy I would say seriously consider the treatments! They have really helped me and it's like you're a new person when you are finally pain free!
Life presents many challenges to each and every person. For years, I have dealt with low back and leg pain. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in the Lumbar region 15 years ago. Since then I have been on a journey seeking multiple remedies in an effort to avoid back surgery. I've tried countless pain management procedures, including, spinal injections, medications, TENS unit, physical therapy, all with little or no results.
I continued to be in severe pain that significantly limited my daily activities. After visiting a local Chiropractor, he recommended me for Spinal Decompression treatments. I was pleasantly surprised that the treatments are painless and very relaxing. To my delight, I'm experiencing a return of flexibility, increased range of motion and marked decrease in back and leg pain. I lead a very busy life and Spinal Decompression has positively impacted the quality of my life. A big thank you to Schneider Clinic!
My overall impression of the results I have experienced with the decompression therapy at Schneider Clinic is very positive. I had constant pain from two slipped discs in my lower back that caused sciatic pain to go down my right leg. After Decompression Therapy, I can now walk again without pain, cross my legs without pain, and sleep again without pain. Overall, I have a lot less aches and pains. The staff at Schneider Clinic is very professional and well trained and they were able to answer all of my questions. If you are thinking about decompression therapy at Schneider Clinic, I say just do it! You will only improve your situation no matter what your problems are.
After dealing with chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, and hand for years, I decided to do something about it. My neck and shoulders were very painful and my hand would fall asleep constantly. I was unable to sleep lying down and had to sit up to sleep at night. I was also having a lot of difficulty gripping a pen or a pencil. I was first skeptical of decompression therapy, but decided to give it a try. I was amazed at my results! I no longer have neck, shoulder, or hand pain and my hand rarely falls asleep anymore. I can now sleep lying down and I have no pain when I write!
The staff at the Schneider Clinic is very professional and caring. I would highly recommend anyone to try decompression therapy. It can he uncomfortable at times and there may he times when it gets worse before it gets better, hut it is definitely worth it!
My occupation is Mom and Grandmother. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus.
I tried seeking treatment for my pain at a spinal adjustment clinic but these treatments only increased my pain and I had to take even more medication. felt I was losing the battle fast and was ready to give up hope because it seemed no one really understood me or was listening to me.
One day while I was out driving I saw Dr. Schneider's sign.
The best "gift" of all was that I was able to take my three year-old grandson to the zoo for Christmas!
I am a 20 year old student and college baseball player. I began experiencing pain and a locking sensation in my right wrist and some loss of strength. This was affecting my baseball swing. My wrist was in pain every time I swung a bat.
I began seeing another chiropractor for this problem and I was told that my wrist was just weak and that I should ice it. I received temporary relief, but the pain always flared back up. My mother was seeing Dr. Schneider and was getting good results so I thought I would see Dr. Schneider for my wrist problem.
I saw much more relief from my pain after treatments from Dr. Schneider. I can now swing a bat with no pain whatsoever and my wrist feels like it has a lot more strength. Dr. Schneider also worked on my throwing shoulder and I have noticed a tremendous difference in my arm strength.
All of my teammates knew that I had a bad wrist in the fall, they now notice that I have a much better swing. I am very glad that I came to Dr. Schneider because I did not want my problem to affect my baseball season, and it didn’t!
Before coming to Schneider clinic I had a multiple issues with my sinuses and allergies. I am a supervisor at a sewing factory but my real passion is singing. I love to sing but with all the congestion I couldn’t do what I love to do! I went to my family doctor and was prescribed many different medications including multiple kinds of nasal sprays. Not only did this not help my sinus problems, but a lot of the time it made the congestion worse. The congestion and drainage got so bad that I was having a hard time even breathing.
One day during my lessons, my voice teacher suggested that I see a chiropractor for my sinus problems. I thought she had lost it, I had no idea they could help with sinus problems. I always thought they could only work on backs and necks. My mom, who was already seeing Dr. Schneider for her back told him about my problem. He assured her that he could help so I made an appointment with him the very next day. Dr. Schneider told me about his unique Endonasal Balloon Therapy. I was a little hesitant about the treatment at first but now I am so glad that I stayed.
Since starting Endonasal treatments I feel so much better and I can breathe again. I don’t have the drainage that I used to and my throat is not dry from trying to breathe through my mouth all the time. The best part is, I CAN SING AGAIN IN PERFECT PITCH! My voice teacher has noticed a huge difference and according to her the quality and tone in my voice is much improved. What a joy it has been! I know without these treatments I would still be struggling along.
Thank you Dr. Schneider and staff for all your kindness and help. I am so happy about how I feel I might have to write a song about it!
My name is Ann and I am the administrative coordinator for the children’s ministry at Granger Community Church. I have been suffering from migraines and pressure headaches for the past 15 years. The constant headaches began when I was 35 years old and have continued ever since. Living with constant headaches make it difficult to concentrate on anything. I work on a computer frequently at my job and the computer light increases my headache pain. Sometimes the headaches are so bad they make me dizzy and give me terrible vertigo.
I consulted with my medical doctor about my chronic headaches and she said my condition was due to my age. I was told that the headaches were a result of pre-menopausal symptoms and there wasn’t much they could do to help me. I was very discouraged at this point and didn’t think I had any other options but to live with the pain. I was talking about my condition to the man I was dating at the time (now my husband) and he talked very highly of Dr. Schneider. I was a little skeptical about how chiropractic care could help me but I couldn’t see the harm in trying it out.
Since receiving regular chiropractic adjustments along with decompression therapy my headaches are minimal and the neck and head pressure I had been suffering from is completely gone! My friends and family notice a different mental attitude in me with the absence of headaches. I am so glad I gave chiropractic treatments a chance!
My name is Kara and my daughter Brynley is a patient with Dr. Schneider. Brynley has suffered from recurring double ear infections that lead to severe pain, high fevers, and the inability to sleep at night. Each time she came down with an ear infection the doctor would prescribe an antibiotic, only to end up with another ear infection. Not only would the ear infection eventually come back, but the antibiotics would cause adverse side effects such as diaper rash and diarrhea.
I heard Dr. Schneider could treat children with ear problems and decided to give it a shot. Since seeing Dr. Schneider both of Brynley’s ears have drained and her fever has not returned. I stopped having to give her antibiotics and I finally feel like her body is healing and she is able to build true immunity to her infections which is very important. Instead of treating the problem with a drug Dr. Schneider works along with the body’s natural process of healing.
Brynley now sees Dr. Schneider for maintenance appointments. She is able to sleep better and is an all-around happier/content baby! I would definitely recommend Schneider Clinic to any parents considering other alternatives for their children other than their regular doctor. I know I am not the only parent who finds their child having reoccurring ear infections one antibiotic after another. Thank you Schneider Clinic for all your help.
CHILDREN GET SPECIAL TREATMENT
Treatment for children is appropriate to their size and needs. Spinal adjustments for children are different from adjustments for adults. Your chiropractor place very gentle pressure on the spine of children to correct problems and help allow the spine to develop properly. As with adults, your child should feel little or no discomfort. Children usually respond quickly to light adjustments and other chiropractic treatment. These might include exercises designed to help your child develop strong muscles, along with instruction in good nutrition, posture and sleeping habits.
HOW A CHILD’S SPINE DEVELOPS
At birth, a child’s spine is a single curve, shaped like a C; the newborn lacks the strength to hold up his head. At about nine months, the lower back curves, the muscles in the lumbar area develop and the child learns to crawl and stand. The child now has the strength and balance to walk and run. Like an adult, the child now has three natural curves in the spine to support the body.
As they learn to walk and run, children fall, and can suffer strains as a result. Periodic checks by Dr. Schneider can identify such problems, detect developing weaknesses in the child’s spine and direct a course of gentle treatment if necessary.
HOW TREATMENT IS DETERMINED
Dr. Schneider will ask you questions about your child’s birth and development. Did anything unusual occur during the birth? At what age did your child begin to crawl, stand, walk? Any serious falls or injuries? An examination will then determine if your child’s posture and movement are proper. Reflexes and range-of-motion will be checked along with any unusual curvature of the spine which could suggest possible scoliosis. If needed, Dr. Schneider will refer your child to another specialist, such as a pediatrician.
Hank, a missionary for Word of Life has been a part of the Schneider Clinic family for over 20 years. Dr. Schneider treated Hank for the first time in Argentina where he and his wife Pam were volunteering their time at the Word of Life mission base. After years of mission work Hank and his wife Rita moved back to the Elkhart area to continue their work in the states.
Due to chronic neck pain and headaches Hank had not been as mobile as he once was. Being forced to decrease the amount of exercise in his everyday routine caused other health issues to arise. High blood pressure, borderline cholesterol issues, and decreased energy from the extra weight had him on multiple medications and down in spirit. He was unable to get work done and was only able to get up to 3 hours of sleep a night. His MD recommended that Hank lose weight to help with his health issues and inability to sleep but never gave him any guidance on how to do it. Hank was afraid that he would eventually gain more weight, have no energy, and be unable to be active with his wife and grandkids.
After meeting with Dr. Schneider and his team about possible weight loss solutions, Hank decided to start our customized weight loss program. He has had AMAZING results. He has lowered his blood pressure and lost over 35 pounds. It only took 2 weeks for Hank and his family to notice a tremendous difference. “My wife says I look like I did in college and my granddaughter is wondering what happened to her grandpa. I have more energy and I enjoy shopping again because I feel more comfortable. I am getting more work done and I am able to go out with my wife more!”
Hank has been an inspiration to all of us here at Schneider Clinic and we are so glad to be a part of the journey toward a Happier Healthier Hank! Thank you for trusting us with you care!
I came to see Dr. Schneider not knowing what to expect. I was experiencing low back pain for 3-4 months and had been taking pain killers on a regular basis. My work as an engineer, mood, and activity level were all affected by my low back pain. I had always been very active and then all of a sudden I was shut down.
Dr. Schneider recommended decompression therapy and regular chiropractic treatments for my low back. After finishing my treatment plan I felt better than I ever had. My pain was gone and thanks to Schneider Clinic, I’m still very athletic at 49. I continue to see Dr. Schneider on a maintenance basis and am glad I gave decompression therapy a try!

Kory B., a salesman, has had joint pain for a few years along with headaches and neck pain over the past few months. Kory spends a lot of time traveling for his job and sitting at a desk when he is at the office. His pain has been a constant annoyance in his day to day life.
Afraid that he would continue to feel miserable and slowly lose his range of motion, Kory decided to seek help. After hearing how Schneider Clinic had helped his sister-in-law he decided to consult with our staff here about his care. He has always been a big supporter of chiropractic care and was looking for a game plan to correct the problem.
After sitting down with Dr. Schneider to discuss his condition they came up with a “game plan” of Decompression therapy paired with regular chiropractic treatments. Kory continues to follow his recommended treatment plan and as he likes to say has had “perfect attendance” with his appointments. As a result, his headaches are completely gone and his neck and joint pain are only a fraction of what they used to be. His range of motion and posture are also much better than before. When asked if his friends and family have noticed a difference he replied “as much as I talk about my improvements, they have no choice but to notice.”
Hi, my name is Patsy and a few years ago I began having pain in my hands and wrists. The pain started gradually and then became severe over time. The pain got so bad that I could not hold, pick up, or grasp anything that had any weight to it. It was difficult to wring out a washcloth and writing was almost impossible because of the pain.
I consulted with my medical doctor who offered braces to be worn daily on both wrists which made everyday tasks very difficult. I was taking pain pills during the day and sleeping pills at night because even though I wore braces, I was in severe pain.
I thought surgery was inevitable at this point. I was in constant pain and needed relief. My medical doctor suggested I try chiropractic treatment before resulting to surgery. Friends of mine suggested I see Dr. Schneider. After regular treatments with him I no longer have to take pain pills or sleeping pills and I do not wear the braces anymore!
Peyton came to Schneider Clinic with stomach pain, headaches, back and neck pain. Treatments from her gastroenterologist and rheumatologist failed to offer her any relief from the pain associated with her Crohn’s Disease. Considering online schooling due to the amount of class she was having to miss from her pain, Peyton was ready to try anything. She completed the Health Appraisal Questionnaire recommended by Dr. Schneider which allowed him to gain more information about her current symptoms. Results from the test showed that a detoxification of her system along with regular chiropractic adjustments would be the most beneficial treatment for the pain she had been suffering from.
Peyton diligently followed her treatment plan and is now feeling so much better! Her family and friends have noticed a big change in her attitude and pain since coming to Schneider Clinic. She says she doesn’t need any pain killers, has little to no pain, and was able to finish her senior year successfully. Peyton recently graduated from Concord high school and is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Thank you Peyton for trusting us with your care and good luck next year at IUPUI!
My name is Ryan and I am a full time student at Ball State University. Before seeing Dr. Schneider I was suffering from anxiety, depression, and issues with my stomach and liver. When I was first diagnosed with clinical anxiety and depression I had to drop my spring semester of school and was unable to work for almost two months. I never wanted to go out in public and I wanted to alienate myself from everyone around me. My family doctor prescribed multiple medications for me to take daily and recommended I follow up with a therapist or admit myself to a mental health center. None of these options left me with very much hope.
Chiropractic treatment has always been a big part of my life and my family’s life. I grew up with Dr. Mark’s son and would get treatments from him during my high school soccer career. I knew I would be in good hands with Dr. Mark and treatments from him would be the best chance I had to get back to my normal self without medications or hospitalization. After consulting with Dr. Mark, he recommended I take the Health Appraisal Questionnaire to help figure out the real problems behind my anxiety and depression. The test showed major problems with my adrenal gland and a high toxicity throughout my body. Dr. Mark and his staff got me all set up with natural supplements and a detox and since starting this natural regimen my body has never felt better! I can now go most days without taking any medications. The best part is I am back to work and returning to school at Ball State in the fall! All my friends and family tell me I am a lot happier now and finally back to the old Ryan. To be completely honest, I feel if I had never come see Dr. Mark I would probably be dead or in a very dark place. Thank you Dr. Mark and staff for everything you have done for me.
My name is Scott and I am the manager at an engineering company. I have had chronic migraine headaches and insomnia for many years. The headaches keep me up at night and I am unable to sleep for more than 4-6 hours each night. The irregular sleeping and eating patterns have also caused me to have digestion issues.
Before coming to Schneider Clinic I had been to multiple medical doctors and I also saw a psychiatrist for my condition. According to my medical doctor, I was suffering from a chemical imbalance, stress, and depression. To treat these symptoms I was given four different drug prescriptions- all of which were unsuccessful and had too many adverse side effects.
My knowledge on chiropractic care was very limited before I came to see Dr. Schneider. I thought chiropractic was only used for stretching, loosening muscles, and relaxation. A friend of mine told me about Schneider Clinic and how after regular visits with Dr. Schneider he was no longer suffering from daily headaches. After recommendations from my friends and speaking with Dr. Schneider I decided to give chiropractic care a shot. I followed the recommended treatment plan and did a 30 day detox program with regular adjustments, and since then I have been headache free and I am able to sleep again! My friends and family have all notice a huge difference in me. They say that I am less irritable and spend more quality time with them now that I no longer live with constant headaches. I am sure that had I not received help at Schneider Clinic my condition would have worsened and I would not be pain free like I am today!
Tony had been suffering from chronic neck and back pain since 1992 before coming to Schneider Clinic. Over 20 years of constant pain was hindering Tony from being able to walk, sit for long periods of time, or get a good night’s rest. He had tried several different options to alleviate his back and neck problems including two surgeries, multiple different spinal pain injections, and pain medication daily for over 7 years. Eventually Tony became immune to the pain medications he was taking and he was slowly losing hope to ever feel better again.
After exhausting all other options, Tony’s family doctor recommended he come here for a consultation with Dr. Schneider. At first Tony was skeptical and did not think Chiropractic would be beneficial for him. Dr. Schneider recommended decompression therapy for Tony and he decided to get started with treatment right away. Boy is he glad he did!
At his first appointment Tony needed a cane to even get around. Everyday activities had become very challenging or impossible for him to accomplish due to his condition. That is no longer the case! He can now put his socks and shoes on and sit in a chair for long periods of time without pain. It used to take Tony 3 or 4 times to get up out of chair because of the pain he was in. He now gets in and out of chairs on the first try and is sleeping better too! His wife has noticed a significant difference in the way he walks and is able to move around easier. In Tony’s own words he feels “beautiful”.
It has been a pleasure to watch Tony’s quality of life improve. We enjoy hearing stories of Tony walking around the mall and taking care of his pool! His smile and laugh are contagious and we are thankful for the continued trust he has in us for his healthcare! Thanks for being such a great patient!
